I just finished watching Vanilla Sky because I wanted to see another Tom Cruise movie like "Eyes Wide Shut" and I saw a video of Tom running in empty america of it which was very reminiscent!
And I have to say this movie gave me alot of what I wanted, the psychological aspects and the moody 2000s music was so good, it reminded me of Ergo Proxy (2006) several times!
David (played by Tom Cruise)'s life was so dreamy yet chaotic. The movie suddenly jumped between scenes which created some confusion but kept the audience just as confused as David that kept me invested. It was really blurring the lines between dream and reality!
The actresses were also especially endearing and beautiful with Tom, especially Penelope Cruz even more than Cameron Diaz, they somehow managed to make her very adorable and hot!
Maybe it was her early acting days, which added to her naive innocence.
The dialogue was also used beautifully and the plot kept you guessing.
Kurt Russell's father-like figure to Tom was very hearttouching.
I really enjoyed watching this movie and there were quite a few funny moments with Tom Cruise going crazy! The scattered hints and the extended ending scene was just beautiful. It really delved into multiple genres, and loved that I want in completely blind as to what type of movie it was!
P.s. One scene of Tom getting down on his knees and falling on his side reminded of a scene in Yasuke's opening! That was soo cool! 8:39am - 8:56am, 9.2.2025.

Gotta say, gotta go fast for this one. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 may not have broken huge new ground in terms of its plot structure, but the role of Dr Robotnik by Jim Carrey ended soo beautifully, and poignantly, it left a very pleasant impression of the movie.
This 3rd film Confirms it, "this" Sonic voiced by ben shwartz is his best when he's serious, angry or truly sincere. The jokes cracking is alright here and there especially with the insanely adorably Knuckles with Idirs Elba voice, comparing him with Shadow "much more impressive than the hedgehog I fought previously" but it usually gets a bit too much. It is easily over-shadowed by Sonic's serous, intense voice which he does really well!
Keanu Reeves as Shadow certainly channeled his inner john wick. His pain was understandable, yet at times cant help but feel he just became the quiet villain sidekick.
James Marsden with his ventriloquist dummy was tooo funny, and as usual he gives Sonic a lot of heart as his charming best friend! (He's always going to stay Scott Summers/Cyclops or the prince from Enchanted)
But it all ends really good, in a huge scale super-powered battle which they really out did themselves.
And the direct cliffhanger tease for the next movie was soooo good at end for Sonic meeting a rather attractive female hedgehog! Really builds appetite for the the 4th Sonic movie! 10:27am.

Just finished watching Nosferatu, and overall it was a good-looking, well-acted period movie. I watched it for the stylized portrayal of the Count Dracula / Nosferatu, coincidentally his name even comes in Hellsing I saw over a week ago on Jan 18-22, 2025!
I'll just go and say the castle scenes were perhaps the strongest, maybe even funniest part of the movie as if a Hotel Transylvania scenario or like Scooby-doo and the gang visiting a haunted mansion.
I appreciated the choice of actors like Nicholas Hoult, Aaron-Taylor Johnson, Emma Corrin from Deadpool & Wolverine actually looking pretty, Lily-rose depp looking sensual in some, while heartrendingly sincere and innocent in others was impressive.
And of course, Willem Dafoe being the cryptic, adorable crazy old man who guides or menaces the youngsters!
I will admit it was a little startling in its Exorcist inspired possession scenes (most of all the opening scene). However, being a period Vampire seduction movie, it portrayed its titular menace quite smartly.
Again relying on practical effects and cinematography to portray supernatural abilities. There's a bit of comfort in knowing in how he looks like and what he can do.
The film is very appealing in its elaborate 18th century German streets, especially the streets with falling snow made the scenes quite beautiful to look at.
Personally for now I do not feel as strongly about the film, however its ending left a touching, poignant impact, that just may make it a memorable albeit slightly anticlimactic film.
Maybe could've benefitted from some good-old vampire hunting action. Still good enough. 7:00am.
