Murat Kara was born in 1967 in Hekimhan, Turkey . He received a M.Sc. degree from Department of Veterinary Microbiology and Parasitology at Louisiana State University in 1996, and PhD education in 2001 at Ankara University. He became an associate professor at Kafkas University Veterinary Medicine, Department of Parasitology in 2006. In 2011, he was appointed as a professor at the same department. He has been working at Erzincan University, Faculty of Medicine as a professor since 2013.
