Genre: Crime / Thriller
1. Top notch cop- robber cinema 2. Great effort invested in fleshing out the villains, the looters giving them almost equal screentime as the cops.
3. The impact on personal life and the redrawing of moral lines on the lives of cops is lived through Butler's brilliantly sketched character.
4. Great wit, intense action scenes and intelligent heist sequences take this several notches up over the usual average fare that is ditched out in this genre.
Super keen to catch up on the recently released sequel, now.
Pleasantly surprised that the director manages to not loose the viewers interest over its extended run time.

1. I didn't think that I would be unfortunate enough to watch a movie worse than _Singham returns_ within a month of that first experience.
2. You have to have a terrible arm & hand- eye combination or to have incredible patience to not break the viewing screen after watching this.
3. It is directionally blind, confused in script, tone deaf at times, trying to inject unnecessary comedy.
4. If I were Vikrant Massey, I would not declare retirement because I wouldn't bear having this as my last on screen appearance. Massey drinks a ton, smokes his lungs out and hams throughout. Very shoddy, by his standards.
Intolerable cruelty.

Genre- _comedy/ romance_
I tried watching it twice earlier, but stopped at the 5 minute mark. I willed myself this time to overcome my initial inhibition and was rewarded by a stunning work by Sandler and by a truly original script by PT Anderson.
1. Amongst Sandler's most non Sandler like performances, right up there with his best non typical work such as _Uncut Gems_ & _Reign over me_.
2. Sandler is gutsy to have done this risky role, which requires him to be rage- prone, socially awkward romantic at such a youngish age, back in 2001.
3. Paul Thomas Anderson used to be a near genius, with classics such as _Magnolia, Boogie Nights, There will be Blood, Hard Eight_ etc. This early effort of his is right alongside his later gems.
