This was simply a perfect episode of The Legend of Korra. Everything from the pacing, music, setting, storytelling to the action scenes was masterfully crafted!
We find out the motivation of the Red Lotus in this episode and why they are after Korra. Turns out they have the same ideals as the Avatar but surprisingly with more subtle hints of balance and prosperity. The way Zaheer views the Avatar world eerily parallels how certain organizations view our real world! It's this kind of moral ambiguity that presents deep and adult dilemmas for our teenage cast of characters. Korra even agrees with Zaheer to a certain degree which makes their relationship that much more dynamic and thought-provoking.
The Stakeout itself was nail-bitingly intense and I love how the Pai Sho battle foreshadows the rest of the Season. Mako being the level-headed man of the group, showed his determination and resilience by keeping the group together and not risking Korra getting captured again. Of course, Korra's brash attitude got the better of them while also getting some much needed answers! Everything in the episode flowed more smoothly compared to previous episodes and made for an all-entertaining 22 minutes of television.
Zaheer is turning out to be one of the best villains in animated history and I can't wait to see how this conflict is resolved! Also, best cliffhanger in Korra yet.

Yes, listen to Brandon Christie: Only the Main F#$king character is fully utilized and that's a problem. Idiot!
This movie was surprisingly deep and well balanced. I really don't like every other DBZ movie mostly because they don't have anything to serve for the main characters and arcs, this is the first time where that changes for the better. All the characters have their shining moments in this, either be it badass or completely hilarious just in old tradition of Dragon Ball!
I loved this movie and I'd recommend it to anyone tired of the old DBZ formula and are looking for something fresh and new. Toriyama's SSG design was fantastic, and Bills is up there with Broly as one of the more interesting villains!

If you take your nostalgic goggles off for a few minutes, you'll realise the bucket load of problems this series contains. If you look at it as a nostalgic trip with fun characters and memorable stories then it's fine but as a whole, this is clearly outdated in about every single way and a downright chore to get through.
Back then, this was one of my favourite shows with so many classic episodes and characters that at the time, were really fun and enjoyable to watch. Now, these plot lines and characters are severely flawed and boring. Maybe I'm just too old for this show and expected it to still hold up after many years BUT Batman: The Animated Series STILL holds up after so many years with wonderfully written story lines and characters, so what's this show's excuse?
If you want a summary of the series problems, watch 'Raphael knocks em dead' or 'Shredders mom' or hell, any episode after Season 2! The list literally writes itself.
THE BIGGEST Problem however, is that now there is no need for this series. There have been 2 new TMNT Incarnations on 4Kids and Nickelodeon that are both leagues better than what this show accomplished. The 2012 Series writing rivals that of Nickelodeon's best works such as Avatar or Korra! We have a new and fresh start to this beloved franchise, it's time to let go of these old poorly written characters of the 1987 Series. :(
