Some critics are harsh, too harsh.
Not every Hallmark movie is bad.
This one proves it.
Having seen so many different film versions of Austen novels in my life I have to say it was much better than I thought it would be.
Some viewers might be bothered by the fact that black actors play white characters. Well, since Bridgerton we are used to that and I did not mind, on the contrary, I found the casting choices refreshing.
Jane Austen would be thrilled to see that so many years after her death people still love her stories so much.
I am looking forward to more Austen inspired films by Hallmark.

The question I would like to ask the writer of season 3 is:
Why so serious?
The reason I watched the show is because it was fun and intelligent the same time. Every episode had a meaningful story to tell and that task was mastered with humour and wit.
Don' t get me wrong, the show is still intelligent but the fun is gone.
The way it dealt with the topic suicide was admirably well done because it is not an easy storyline to tell.
But I still hope that the joyful side of the series will return.
So please find your mojo and make us laugh again.
Thanks.
