The most refreshing and wonderful series about being gay and the emotions involved that's ever been shown. Japanese culture of politeness and consideration above sex and self satisfying drama shine through.
Having been to Japan, this came as no surprise.
Yet the painful experience of self realisation and thought, the agony of their inability to know what seems so obvious to us in the west.
We can all learn from behaviour and kindness, about emotions and feelings and we can all be so much more generous than we often are.
You can't but help feel for all of them. Their strengths and weaknesses are in all of us.
Watch it calmly and quietly enjoy. It's a gem.

Let's just say the plot has no twist, no rhyme or reason, is largely pointless and is so full of gaping holes as to be unwatchable. Damon must have done it for the money. Affleck to staunch his flagging career.
Very disappointing on so many levels.
The worst bit is the end when out of nowhere a motorcycle and a van appear as if by magic.
The editing has a lot to be desired, choppy and often leaving vast unfilled and unexplained gaps in might have been action you never get to see.
For the life of me I don't understand why this film Is so short either - for once the extra twenty minutes might have made the plot stick, but I suspect the moribund dull witted script lacked even that capacity to see this sad sorry flop together.

I so thoroughly enjoyed this it surprised me. The character, the scenario nd the hotline worked so well. The constant referrals to Sugar's love of films and culture, the way his thoughts would echo clips from movies. And the underlying plot...outstanding! I spotted it and worked it out pretty quickly about who he was, but the ending was a nice twist.
It has a suggestion of the old TV series Invaders about it but the other way around!
The cienmaohgraphy and editing were first class and I have to say I loved how Farrell managed to get some of his own concerns about homelessness into the early episodes. The end leaves enough scope for a second series, and I really hope Apple commissions one. Just brilliant!
