Louie the Lilac is cornering the market in lilac perfume in Gotham City. Who cares?
Thirty minute episodes didn't give plots much time to hatch. This episode is proof of that.
The worst thing about this episode is Milton Berle. If anyone could be a proper "Batman" villain one would think it would be Berle. His Louie the Lilac had the potential to be one of the (minor) greats. But rather than being flamboyant and funny, he seems to think he's trying out for "The Godfather." His serious performance is a big disappointment.

Is Gotham City overrun with invaders from Mars?
Well, a glance at the title tells one the flying saucer belong to the Joker.
Caesar Romero is his usual energetic self. Unfortunately, with a couple of guest appearances (one of a woefully underutilized Fritz Feld) on top of the flying saucer story and the typical fisticuffs at the end, they go through this show like lightning, reciting dialogue very fast.
What a shame this one didn't have two nights to develop.

Prison escapee Shame (Oscar-winner Cliff Robertson, starring with his then real-life wife Dina Merrill as Calamity Jan) and Barry Dennan as "Fred" are planning a huge robbery.
What can our heroes and heroines do?
Unfortunately, it's a "Batgirl" episode. Your love of this two-parter depends on what you feel about her.
