A cool concept, action, and CGI ruined by really bad acting. Her over-the-top attitude was either intensely loudly angry or intensely loudly hysterical. I don't always notice or care a lot about bad acting. Usually, it's just bad writing (this had that too) that sets me off. But wow this woman is annoying! Is every moment cause for hysteria? Also, every plot point came across as formulaic. Sad. Coulda been cool.
Gonna type the same thing again because it's forcing me to say more than I need to in order to submit this review. Gonna type the same thing again because it's forcing me to say more than I need to in order to submit this review.

Amazing! Loved it! The visuals and more-so, sound was epic! With the sound I wondered if the loud/grungy/machine-like sounds were an easy/shallow ploy to evoke that epic feeling. But then... it worked!
Lemme get something out of the way: One thing that usually does not bother me is when a movie departs from a book.
I'd give it a 10 if it weren't for the bit of 4th wave radical feminist influence, along with that last and final closing scene where the camera focused for like 5 seconds on Chani's angry face.
I get it why she was angry but that is such an obvious and shallow ploy (and yes different from the book) that I find it annoying. Why didn't she believe the guy she was in love with, especially after he showed himself to have such powers?

Until playing this game, I was not into turned-base combat or single player experiences.
But now I'm addicted and eager to join my friends in a co-op campaign. Loving just how much thought and effort was put into this game! I love the freedom of movement and how many choices you can make, as well as how the choices affect the world.
Let it serve as a lesson to all the studios that have been creating games of lower and lower quality over the past 5 years or so.
