While on the verge of being divorced, Norma Craig disappears. Seven years later, when her husband, Larry Craig, plans to marry a girl Vicki McGuire, Norma returns and tells Vicki that she nor anybody else can marry Larry.
Soon both the girl and her fiancé find themselves mixed up with a crooked nightclub owner, gangsters and murder
Mary Beth Hughes makes a fine detective as she gets a job at a club to find out who killed her fiancée's wife - the number one suspect seems to be sleazy nightclub owner, Lucky (Edmund MacDonald). He certainly acts shady. It's a familiar tale, but it's a well done mystery that keeps one's attention as there's enough intrigue in the plot and enough twist and turns. Unravelling of the killer came as a surprise - that person obviously has a psychotic need to kill women. Anything to stop the heroine to find out the truth.

Simon Templar, alias The Saint (George Sanders), is tipped off by British Intelligence when a shady London financier appears to be doing deals with a foreign power. A million pounds in untraceable foreign currency is a sum of money men are willing to kill for - and a prominent European count has gone missing.
Aided by small time American hood Dugan (David Burns) and the beautiful Penny Parker (Sally Gray), The Saint resorts to some distinctively unorthodox activities to get to the heart of the mystery - even if it means clashing with his old adversary, Inspector Claud Teal of Scotland Yard (Gordon McLeod). Before long, the bullets are flying, Penny is in dire danger - and everything may depend upon the lethal ace that the Saint always keeps up his sleeve...
George Sanders dons his halo again as he hops to London for some more battling against the criminal element and has a couple of people, American ex-hood called Dugan and Penny Parker, to help him - the latter has a very good chemistry with Sanders. It's a fun entry with plenty of thrills and danger.

Down in San Francisco, The Saint gets mixed up with the investigation into a major crime syndicate who is the mysterious 'Waldeman' who is terrorising the city? Teaming up his old sparring partner Inspector Fernack and the beautiful Val Travers who has her own reasons for wanting to catch Waldeman Templar sets out to catch the gangster.
But Waldeman is a dangerous adversary and The Saint will have to use all his cunning if he means to trap him...
George Sanders dons his halo again as the Saint as he tries to clear a lady's father's name who was framed. It's fast-paced as the snappy dialogue and, though it can be a little hard to keep up with the twist and turns and the characters, it's quite enjoyable. Guess one has to pay real attention with 'who is what' and with so many things happening. Nice atmosphere, snappy dialogue, a lively plot and George Sanders makes things very bearable.
