I do agree with the other reviewer about the so called romance. But this episode has historical significance. I enjoyed seeing Irene Ryan. She always had that funny voice even as a young actress in Hollywood. But The Beverly Hillbillies had the role for her that was the perfect fit, and now she'll always be remembered as granny. Even Ed Begley, was a character actor from way back. And Jan Clayton too. Not to mention Fred MacMurray himself.
This series does have some boring shows and I sometimes wonder how it lasted 12 seasons. It must've been Fred MacMurray, William Frawley, and later, William Demarest that people loved to watch. I know I do.

I thought this episode was so clever. Outlandish maybe. Preposterous, I suppose. But that is the comedy aspect of it. It was so clever- like all the puzzle pieces falling into place. And it's a delight to watch the actors round out their characters. Flo Afton was quite the character that Betsy Jones-Moreland brought vividly to life. And Arthur Hunnicutt was great as George.
Many of the episodes of "My Three Sons" are like a puzzle pieces falling into place. One episode compared a rocket launch to a day in the Doulas household. Another compared Robbie's Soap Box Derby to the father, Steve's, day with a particularly difficult assignment on his job. That's what I find so unique about this particular sit-com from the 60's- it is so clever!

This movie wasn't good or bad. Just a cheap copy of "Groundhog Day," without Bill Murray or Andie MacDowell. So to me, (you can imagine) it was pretty boring without Bill Murray. Niki Whelan reminded me of Cameron Diaz. Very cute. It was obvious who her special man was, the one she passed by day after day in the first part of the movie. I expect it from Hallmark, to know the outcome of the movie miles before the end. But sometimes their predictable stories, that all end happily, are just what you need to forget the cares of this world we live in. I think Hallmark is sometimes a blessing in disguise.
