It is hard to write a review that would do the drama justice. Extremely well cast and well implemented by all involved. This is an intense opportunity. From the moment it starts in the credits the tale is extremely well told ,down to the use of children's books which are interwoven into the tale. Everything is extremely watchable, the casting is so well tuned especially the triage formed by the female protagonist, and the male protagonist, and his brother, this triage is very unique yet compelling, as alsothe use of mythos in the story is also compelling, the story scratches down to some very deep, painful moments that seem to be part of almost every human family. The challenge of mothering, the challenge of siblings, the challenge of oneself, the way the tellers produced it contains so many moments of pure fun An vibrant complexity, there is an opening scene involving umbrellas that probably could've been eliminated from the story except that it's so joyful and so accurate to the character's joyfulness. There are terrible moments in the story that are allowed to be truly terrible. The geography of the story is also quite compelling, and the photography and sets contributed delightfully ,as does the music. The director was smart enough to take advantage of the female protagonist capacity for stunning and stealing the scenes through her eccentric wardrobe. It is these kind of visuals that capture ,the story but never hold it hostage, there is a lovely humor maintained around the mental hospital setting, and the Doctor Who runs it. Eventually, we are faced with one of the most commanding villains ever in the shape of the mother, who, in a sense loves her child way too much. I am very grateful for this drama as a command performance, every second is enjoyed and worthwhile thank you to all involved.
I became a fan of the male actor when he was in, it's OK not to be OK. Perhaps that is affecting my interaction with this show where the female protagonist is just so blah compared to the female protagonist of it's OK not to be OK. There was a fun moment when I realized that the male protagonist psychologist was actually his brother From. It's OK not to be OK but that did not make the drama watchable for me when I looked up information on this drama, it sounded like it had really hit with a lot of audiences. I guess I'm unsure what it was that caught their fancy. I've watched a lot of Korean dramas so I'm not a novice but maybe I am skewed by the fact that I am an American watcher. I was sorry not to enjoy this with drama as I really wanted to give it a chance, but it never called me.
