One star for the actors who try to deliver subpar dialogue but zero overall. No quality in writing, directing or editing. No care for the story to have substance and the characters who have no depth. Very superficial and on the surface AKA over the top and whimsical! His movies are a running joke at this point and he feels no way about it, the artist in him should be disturbed to keep releasing atrocious work. He has abandoned his core fans by continuing to release the same film featuring different character names and movie title. It's comparable to a musical artist releasing back to back albums with zero hits or likable songs or music videos!

Just like Merry Wishmas, Soul Santa is another unexpected surprise! Not your typical Christmas movie at all, a definite compliment for the film! David Mann really flexes his comedic muscles and delivers in the best timing, yet emotional when the scene called for it! Impressive!

Surprised by the direction then to find out it's Terry J Vaughn directing! She did a fine job, superb! David Mann was so convincing as that for the people businessman about to lose it all and Tamela Mann the badgered but successful daughter/sister who stays away but loves her family and home! Their acting was far greater in this rookie directorial debut Christmas film than any movie I've seen them in, aside from Tamela Mann's role as Ms. Sara in 2012s Sparkle! She was sincere as that friend/coworker/churchgoer! Truly authentic here, will be watching again before Christmas!
