Not bad action film, with Dudikoff in relentless pursuit of his runaway wife. Seems she has had no trouble giving psychopath Hamill a ride to his Psychiatrist, Mitchum. This movie has plenty of truck size plot holes. Cops are portrayed merely as targets for Hammil's knife or gun. Realism flies out the window early, never to return. Nevertheless, things seem to move along at a frantic pace. If you can forgive the sparse character development, just go along for the ride with your brain in neutral. What Robert Mitchum is doing in this film is a huge question? His part could easily been played by any no name actor. Worth watching for Hammil's over the top performance, but just barely. MERK.
If you would like to experience a small town, and a bank just waiting to be robbed, this is your movie. If you like biker films, such as "The Wild Angels", "Angel Unchained", and the like, look elsewhere. "Disturbing the Peace", doesn't miss many cliches, but does hit a bullseye for about as unrealistic a script as could be imagined. The movie more or less clears the town of anyone except the actors. For most of the film all you see are deserted streets. The main attraction "Hidden River Caverns" is completely ignored, except at the end, when a few signs are visible, and Guy Pearce takes a stroll passed the fenced off sinkhole entrance. MERK.
Very contrived, with a logic quotient of less than zero, this red herrings on parade cop film is going to try the patience of many viewers. Bruce Willis is OK as a boozy cop, who has been banished from the homicide division to river patrol. Sarah Jessica Parker is totally lost in this action who done it, and looks like the least believable policewoman on Earth. The lack of realism really drags this down to the mat, along with the contrived plot. The Pittsburgh locations are interesting at first, but eventually wear thin, just like the entire film. The fact that Brion James and Tom Sizemore are totally wasted, is another glaring problem. MERK.
