There is absolutely nothing redeeming. The acting was gawd awful. The screenplay and dialogue was terrible, the action was badly scripted and even worse execution. The ending was stupid, the beginning was stupid.
Save your brain cells. This is a truly AWFUL film!
Aside from that it was really boring, stupid, and without anything really recommendable. Eva Green was the best acting job in the movie and she should feel ashamed! The others should all be punished for what they put onscreen! The director deserves prison time.
Am I being to hard? No. I left out the really bad parts. Its way worse than described. Just not enough room.

Maybe Im being picky. But the plot and story arc(s) were very wooden and there was no sign of change or growth, thusly no reveals or expected finality?
The characters followed a very undefined linear story, when events happened that a sane world believes would demand explanation, none is given and they all just keep on being who they have been. The story wants to paint the sad story of the lead who changed to a "different Man" but he really did not. And the story tries to pain that those around him that he used to be afraid of and therefore more polite and kinder to go on to wonderful beautiful lives, while he continues not understanding and not knowing why others got what they wanted and not him?
The fact he can even be having these conversations had several extremely questionable issues that should have prevented him from essentially seeing it in front of him, or the characters involved from wanting to see him or being where he is, but it is all just glossed over to over-emphasize a story of Good hearted people will end up astonishingly happy in the end, and pretty people who are not good will still be unhappy even if they are pretty.
I found it too preachy and oversimplified. The facts of law and human nature that were ignored so they could make a few key scenes without needing felt one dimensional and leading, the characters all changing not 1 single bit from beginning to end.
I suppose it was worth a watch once. But I dont think iots as entertaining or well made as many are lauding. It needed better writing and plotting to not distract from the points it tried too hard to make.
