Imagine Jason Statham starring in a Western film set in Kerala, with a his personality split between ten people of an extended 'family', in which your worth is based on how accurately hit your target. That's what this < 2hr movie was. You can see that a bunch of people got together and thought, lets have fun writing, acting and making this film and it shows. The background music is 🔥
This a mindless revenge film which is as over-the-top and shallow as the other 'commercial films' are but surprisingly is also so much easier to buy into. It is totally nuts and far from perfect, in fact, you might pick out so many things that could and should have been different but you're very likely to enjoy it regardless.

I watched a promo of the lead talking about anime and manga in the film and I thought, sign me up! Didn't know anything else about it. Turns out, this 40 min shortfilm on Youtube about (GenZ's) hopes and dreams of romances in new cities is so much better than most of the films that came out last year.
While the plot is about GenZ, I'm sure you can either relate to some of this or might have seen your friend be in these situations and come talk to you about it. So, a familiar plot, nothing new and yet, feels....fresh compared to the bad content that's recently come out.
Nirmal Pillai acts, wrote and directed the film. It's been shot really well, Nirmal and Kripali seem familiar, like your school/college friends. There's no point to this film, except that it's a slice of life worth your 40 mins.

Started off as a 'fun' and lighthearted mystery which demanded a lot of liberty. I played along and boy did I not see the ending coming LOL
It's not easy to make a mystery film in which the bad guy is revealed early on and how the good guy eventually unravels the mystery but this pulls that off with real ease. It's an unwritten rule that mystery films HAVE TO have a misdirect and writers make it so OBVIOUS but I think that part was also convincing here. The climax, although a cliche now....wasn't predictable. If you watch this with a group, there WILL BE audible gasps and finger pointing.
Basil Joseph did what you exactly expect from him and then some (but I can't talk about that here) It's almost as if the movies he's in are minimum entertainment guaranteed films. I don't really know much about Nazria, but she was good too. Several minutes were spent in building up her character, and the society around her (which I didn't mind, but I feel like they didn't add much value to the plot)
Overall - This film was so much more entertaining than most of the films I'd watched over the past few months, surely one of the most entertaining in 2025 and surely much better than Game Changer. Just goes to show you don't need hella money to make a good film aka Mollywood-USP. The only part that I wish had been done slightly different was first half, the genre shift isn't my thing and I had to really convince myself to play along but keeping that aside, this was really well done.
