Pros:
The initial concept was mildly intriguing.
Cons:.
Everything else.
Seriously, there is not much to praise here.
Acting ranges from the below average to the incredibly bad. What is Naomi Watts doing here???
The writing is easily the worst of a VERY bad bunch.
The characters are (barely) one-dimensional Dialogue sometimes seems random and out-of-place.
Character motivations are unclear or even insultingly idiotic. Some come and go without a clear reason the be there. Others seem important, but then vanish without explanation.
The rhythm is all over the place, most scenes seems to happen almost out of sequence.
The plot twists (and there are quite a few) seem to have been designed by a 5 year old, at best.
I decided to watch this to the end, just to see how low it could sink. Well, it sank quite low.
This should be a case study.

This in undoubtedly one of the worst films I saw recently. Everything looks cheap and rushed, especially the plot. Sean Young disappoints as the lead, looking lost and, probably, ashamed to be part of this. Tim Daly is a little better, but still not very good, considering his work on TV's "The Fugitive", for example. Things weren't good, but when we get to the ending it begins to look like a joke.
Sean Young slow-motion sprint left me speechless. How can someone sink so low?
Very bad indeed...

Can't believe I didn't start seeing it from the beggining!Forget "ER","Buffy","AllyMcBeal" and even the mighty "X-Files".This is without question one of the greatest shows ever.
The quality of the episodes is consistently great, as are the performances of all involved. Major stand-outs are Dylan McDermott as Bobby Donnell,Steve Harris as Eugene Young and the strikingly beautiful Lara Flynn Boyle as Helen Gamble. Even the tiniest bit player is cast to perfection. The presence of big name stars is the icing on the cake.
Few movies put me on the verge of tears, but this series has done it more than once.
I once lived and breathed "The X-Files", but this is even greater. The way you become involved with the characters and their clients is pure work of genius.
I hope "The Practice" continues being produced for many years, because this blend of story-telling and charismatic actors isn't possible to recreate.
To sum it up: a true masterpiece!
