Party Monster marks the triumphant return of Macaulay Culkin to the silver screen! He was delightful to watch as the lovable but evil "King of the Club Kids". This movie shows that Mac is a real artist, not just a "former child star", and I look forward to seeing what roles he takes on next. Seth Green was also very good and quite a talent. I loved seeing the two of them frolic around. You can tell they had a lot of fun with this, and it was a lot of fun to watch, although you do have to pause and reflect upon the tragedy that was at the center of this true story. Bravo, Mac, and WELCOME BACK!!!
Getting Even With Dad takes Macaulay Culkin's "Home Alone" magic and applies it to another hilarious plot! Mac shines in this 1994 romp that takes him on a hilarious journey through San Francisco along with Ted Danson of "Cheers" fame. Mac is glowing with charm and probably his best hairstyle to date. It is a "must-see" in my book. 10 out of 10.
This movie is a classic in so many ways. Macaulay Culkin is brilliant in his most famous role. I have watched Home Alone many times and have never tired of Mac's genius and incredible talent. It's amazing how such a young actor can carry a movie with such seemingly effortless style and boundless enthusiasm. The movie works on so many levels. Enjoy it as a carefree comic romp, or a comment on the dysfunctionality of the modern family, or a tribute to the independent spirit of the younger generation. Culkin is a genius!
