The first ever Malaysian Animation Film to be submitted for Animated Feature Film category of the 92nd Academy Awards (Oscars 2020).

The Siamang Tunggal keris used in the movie was actually inspired by the Beruk Berayun keris, a royal keris of the state of Selangor. To avoid disputes between the royal parties of the state, the name of the keris was changed to Siamang Tunggal keris.

Three directors are responsible for directing this film in three different scenes. Ahmad Razuri directs the initial scene until the scene of the meeting with Mak Deruma. Adam Amiruddin directs from Mak Deruma's part until the meeting scene with Bawang Merah while the rest is directed by Syed Nurfaiz. However, all decisions are made together.

This film is the first Malaysian animated film to be shown in Dolby ATMOS format.
