Sweet animation, great music, clever and philosophical, well thought dialogues. Definitely worthwhile and worth seeing. For me a 9/10!
The non-linear story line may be a bit confusing at first. But all character's actions and events that happen are linked together and at the end everything falls into place.

I love the Really unique storytelling this anjme provides. Telling the viewer the story out of order without any warning is a bit jarring and confusing if you blink your eyes and miss a key word. That isn't really a problem though because I look forward to revisiting getting a better understanding of the show. The beautiful animation is also captivating and the voices for the main characters have a lot of personality and fit perfectly. Yup yup!

Boogiepop have mission to save the world from its enemy it can anyone.
It have horror gerne but it is just eddy series with darkness. People can die here. Some people evolving and they keep under control by the some people. Different people have different power. It like the mutant from x man.
So here people are evolving again like x man so it is look at way to people and some foreign substance with the tone of justice and look in shades (grey portion)
Boogiepop is different as he/she is different identity from his host it appear like identity disorder. And power is like magic compare to other power introduced in this anime.

I absolutely didn't like the original as the art of it was atrocious and I was unable to understand wtf was going on. If you wanna check out my IMDB review on "Boogiepop Never laughs" and dislike it, go for it lol. Seriously though, this anime badly needed a renovation on the art and I was pretty excited when they did announce it last year that they were gonna remake the anime. I'm normally not the type who likes originals getting redone again but definitely Boogiepop had to be one of them this time.
You still get confused with the 2019 version's storyline but same time, the art was just nice, the opening as well as the closing song are great and I gotta say, Aoi Yûki did a fantastic job as playing Boogiepop. She really did the voice so smooth and so sarcastic at the same time that you would just feel weird in a strikingly good way haha! I also liked the fact that this anime does give you a bit of heartwrenching and quite extreme questionable moments. Now people who prefered the original version may not think so as the art in the 2019 is rather glossy than actually scary as the orginal. I would only consider a anime "scary" if there were so many jumpscares like a slendermen type of game. I do like my horror folks but thats what I feel when im having a heart pounding moment lol.
Definitely if you didn't like the original like myself, I'd give Boogiepop a chance by watching this 2019 version instead!!

I went into this series not knowing anything about it. To my surprise, it ended up being one of the most interesting anime series I have watched. The storytelling confused me a bit sometimes but fortunately the climaxes of each arc looped around in the end and clears my confusion more times than not. I'd also like to give kudos to Myth & Roid for the kickass opening which kept me engaged throughout the entirety of the show.

Seriously this anime needs some serious attention, it really out done other psychological popular animes like death note interms of psychology but yet it has little attention, this is exactly what happens when something tries to be too unique, the character development is phenomenal, a 10 out of 10 for this masterpiece, I had to rewatch it two times to understand the plot.
