Episode #1.2

What a difference 29 minutes can make.

The first episode was such a disappointment but I am glad I have stuck with it.

Yes, Desirée Akhaven might be your typical Capricorn control freak(if you want something doing well then do it yourself), involved with all sorts of roles in the making of the show but it works.

The visual humour of standing up for a woman on the tube only to find a man take the seat then have coffee spilled all over her by a passer by.

The sardonic retort to Gabe asking whom she would have if she couldn't have him was so dry and then there is the scene where she waits outside the loo for the guy, undecided as to whether to wear her jacket or not (showing off her hairy armpits is quite arousing too!) and showing off her boobs in the bathroom was a nice touch.

Most shows would do that in episode 1 to get people talking about the show. To leave it to episode 2 is sheer Capricornian class.

Ok, so my review of episode 1 slagged off having an American lead but are there any UK actresses that could have pulled this job off?

Yes, it is a shame it seems to be all about her. I tuned in to watch Maxine Peake, Eva Birthistle and Niamh Algar but they are hardly getting a look in.

Some great songs in the disco too.

I hope they keep up the standard.
