The animal Chief Kalories channels in his dance is the pig--a sacred animal in Vanuatu. When Kalories attacks the camera at the end of the film, mixed in with his war cry is the scream of a pig. This is the sound of a dying pig from the death ceremony of the old chief, Chief Martin. This signifies a passing of the torch from the old chief to the new one.
