The moment where Gus gets out of bed and one of his testicles is exposed is possibly a relic of another joke the show was not allowed to do. Series co-creator, writer, and star Paul Rust wanted the show to firmly establish itself and push the boundaries of a sex-comedy show by featuring a joke involving a character who was bragging that he could fellate himself. This would involve a gross-out element of seeing the actor's erect penis. This bit did not get very far before Paul and the creators were told that a biological, non-prosthetic erection immediately qualifies as pornography and would never be allowed to pass the censors.
