This movie has nothing extraordinary, and I suspect that the 10/10 reviews are from the production themselves.
Otherwise, there are some really good ideas, and the the choice of location is great. You get some nice place specially in India and Uganda.
The main problem is that once the movie pass 30 min, the story goes all other the place, the main character seems to act randomly and the narration get lost in long and boring non senses.
The movie stop becoming interesting and it is hard to reach the end without suffering off boredom.
The director needs to manage the tempo of his movie to keep the interest of the viewer. Having beautiful scenery is not enough.
The storytelling in this movie is pretty bad.

Drug addicted white man in Africa life. I can see a jerk annoying man only. Nothing from this movie.
This is really bad. Amateur sound editing and mixing, terrible acting, horrendous writing. I could not pass the 25 minutes mark.

This ambitious film is a beautifully written mind binding story with unique characters, dramatic performances and stunning visuals mostly shot in the mystical jungles of eastern Uganda.

While the film takes on ambitious subject matter, it nails it, with some great performances at its heart. The trio at the centre of the story are all very engaging, Kisakye in particular, and they drive the story on even during the odd moment when the plot slows down. Plus, it certainly does the beautiful scenery of Uganda justice with how excellently well shot it is.
All in all, a very enjoyable film that's well worth a watch!

This film takes us to distant lands .... Magnificent landscapes, change of scenery and exotic culture for an adventure that will keep you going until the end ... I loved it.

This is such an original and thought-provoking film which perfectly balances action, drama and fantasy elements. For a debut feature shot in 3 different continents it is truly impressive and I am really looking forward to seeing what the filmmakers produce next.

Deeply engaging film, gorgeously shot and directed. It's very conceptually ambitious but stays well-grounded in the characters. Esther Tebandeke stands out for her really strong performance. The opening scene has really stuck in my head!

An exceptional debut. This is a beautifully shot and masterfully acted thriller with fantasy elements. Non genre fans should not let the SF/fantasy elements deter them though, there is enough plot depth, biting satire and lush photography to satisfy most discerning cinephiles. Eagerly looking forward to seeing more from this new director. Definitely recommend. Check it.

Intelligent film-making, an accomplished thriller, especially considering it's their debut....
The Philip K Dick comparisons will be flooding in....
I'm glad this is finally being released.
Top job ladies and gents!

A British / Ugandan touch to Allende's magical realism, this film is both thought-provoking, touching on important thematics like post-colonialism and self-knowledge, and very aesthetically pleasing. Absolutely recommend it, Dan Moss is definitely on point with this and I look forward to his new works.
An intercontinental adventure which totally jettisons the classic hero's arc. From its first intense moments, the film promises to be crammed with excitement and it delivers throughout. The main characters are compellingly flawed even the ones desperately trying to do the right thing. Nothing quite goes the way you predict it will. Highly recommended, expect an Africa you are completely unfamiliar with.
