Despite returning the property to a dormant state after its release, Taron Egerton's infamous Robin Hood reboot has found new life on streaming. Starring Egerton as the titular folklore rogue, Otto Bathurst's 2018 movie saw a disgraced Robin take up arms against the corrupt powers ruling Nottingham that took his wealth and status to further their own cause, joining forces with the rebelling commoners. Robin Hood also starred Jamie Foxx as Robin's accomplice John, Eve Hewson as his love interest Marian, and Ben Mendelsohn as the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Despite a poor performance at the box office and poor impressions on critics, Robin Hood is finding a surprising new audience on Netflix. Though it holds an unenviable 14% among critics' reviews and a slightly more impressive but still unremarkable 39% among viewers, the feature recently entered Netflix's Top 10 Movies. At the time of writing, Egerton's 2018 reboot holds the No. 8 spot, coming...

It's been a long time since the cast of Batman Forever last joined forces to create the first major Batman film following the exit of Tim Burton from the franchise, and its stars have ended up in many different place since. As far as Batman movies go, Batman Forever sits in an odd place. The film is comically cheesy, stepping away from the darkness of Batman Returns to poor reception, but is perhaps underrated as a whole, with more than a few enjoyable aspects. Of these, some of the film's performances are worthy of note.
The cast of Batman Forever is an eclectic bunch, with several noteworthy names in Hollywood sharing marquee space with some relative unknowns. Since the film's release, many of its actors have fallen into varying levels of fame, especially in comparison to the even more star-studded cast of Batman & Robin, the film's infamous sequel. He even has a few projects in post-production that were filming around that time, like Back in Action, a vehicle co-starring Cameron Diaz in a return to movies after a decade hiatus. Whenever Jamie Foxx steps up to a microphone, one can expect to be entertained.
And that’s precisely what the Oscar and Grammy-winning superstar plans to do when he hits the road to discuss the circumstances around his sudden hospitalization nearly a year ago.
On Sunday afternoon, Foxx offered attendees of the African American Film Critics Association’s (Aafca) Special Achievement Awards luncheon a sneak peek at the tone of that material — a mix of heartfelt reflection with some top-notch zingers — while accepting Aafca’s Producers Award alongside his Foxxhole Productions partner Datari Turner.
2023 was a big year for the company thanks to the back-to-back successes of Netflix’s “They Cloned Tyrone” and Amazon’s “The Burial.” But while Foxxhole’s movies were shooting to the top of the streaming charts, Foxx was fighting for his life after suffering a medical emergency — the nature of which has not been disclosed.

Hollywood is often criticized about the amount of follow through there is on promises for diversity and inclusivity. Yet there is much to celebrate about the films that are being made about Black life, and the 15th annual awards by the African American Film Critics Assn. will do just that on Feb. 21.
“American Fiction,” “The Color Purple” and “Origin” — named best comedy, musical and drama, respectively — all scored multiple film honors and inclusion on Aafca’s list of top 10 films of the year. Performers including Colman Domingo, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Lily Gladstone, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Danielle Brooks will also be celebrated during the ceremony, hosted once again by Roy Wood Jr.

Most things about life are unpredictable, be it the life of people in general or that of celebrities. But some people’s lives take this unpredictability to a whole another level of hilarity, and Jamie Foxx’s life falls in this second category.
This comes after the actor shared the story of the hilariously unexpected event where he got his clothes stolen from his very own house after he refused to give away a live recording of the late singer Whitney Houston.
Jamie Foxx as Eric Marlon Bishop
This happened back in the day when Foxx used to do Karaokes, and celebrities used to show up to them as well. Of these celebrities were none other than Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, where Brown forgot the lyrics and the fact that those were written onscreen since it was karaoke, while Houston killed it with her voice.
