The biggest part of the game is killing zombies using various plants that shoot projectiles or cause explosions.

Players can use Power-Ups that let you freeze/burn the zombies or electrocute them with lightning. Their bones are visible when you zap them and their body turns to ash

Like in every other Plants vs. Zombies game, the violence is played for comedy.

Some zombies are seen as chickens, dotos, weasels, turkeys (november update) and bulls but are not real animals getting hurt, some zombies are even robots.

The Zomboss will also launch missles at the plants and run over the plants and the zombies

When you kill a zombie half way, their arm pops off and when you kill the zombie, their head pops off. When a gargantuar gets weakened, they will throw their imp towards the plant and when they die, their head pops off

Plants such as the potato mine is a mine that blows up zombies.

A gargantuar would smash any plant in its way and sometimes have to smash a plant more than once such as plants with plant food, primal wall nuts and infi nuts, but when it hits an explodenut it explodes.

The zombies may frighten younger players.

When we lose, we can hear loud 'no' sound and also saw already bitten brain which kinda frightening.

The Dr. Zomboss levels can be pretty intense.

Some times levels are very hard and irritating where you have to collect all the sun then use the powerups which is a waste of coins.
