A Terrifier 3 cameo contains the deepest of deep cut references involving a cult horror franchise. The Terrifier movies play like gorier, nastier versions of 1980s horror sagas like Friday The 13th, with their selling being that they push the envelope way further than ever before. This has given the series a distinct identity, and Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) is now a horror icon on par with Michael Myers or Freddy Krueger. While the third film isn't overloaded with horror easter eggs, the ones it features are easy to spot.
The already infamous shower scene is a nod toward both Psycho and Scarface and displays the bloody carnage the latter only hinted at. The most obvious reference comes in Terrifier 3's controversial opening scene, where Art uses an ax to cut into a door and then sticks his head through the hole like Jack Nicholson in The Shining.

A divisive Christmas horror movie from the 1980s is getting a second remake. The biggest horror remake boom occured in the 2000s, when a bevy of iconic horror titles were rebooted including Dawn of the Dead, Friday the 13th, Halloween, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, The Last House on the Left, The House on Sorority Row and more. However, remakes have been produced throughout horror history, including the prominent 1980s examples The Thing and The Blob, and the tradition has continued into the modern era with titles including 2020's The Invisible Man, 2022's Firestarter, and 2024's Salem's Lot.
Christmas horror movies are another longstanding tradition of the genre, as many filmmakers have found unique ways to blend the wholesome iconography of the season with bloody murder and mayhem, creating an unsettling juxtaposition. One of the most famous is Bob Clark's 1974 proto-slasher Black Christmas, which itself has been remade twice,...

A clown, a drunk, and Santa Claus walk into a bar.
Sounds like the setup for an off-color joke, but that’s the scene I witnessed upon visiting the set of Damien Leone’s Terrifier 3 earlier this year. As you might expect, the punchline is a bloody one.
“I’ve been really looking forward to this scene,” Art the Clown actor David Howard Thornton tells me. “It’s like the costume shop scene [in Terrifier 2] or the pizzeria scene [in Terrifier]. It’s such a fun scene, and then it gets serious. I think it has one of the more creative kills in the movie.”
Thornton shares the scene with Daniel Roebuck as jolly old Saint Nicholas and Clint Howard as a barfly named Smokey.

Warning: Contains spoilers for 'The Legend Of Ruby Sunday'
Ever since Russell T. Davies’ return to the helm of Doctor Who last year, the showrunner has been hard at work filling his new-look Whoniverse’s mystery box with an ever-growing pile of questions. Who is Ruby Sunday’s mum? Why does Susan Twist keep popping up here, there, and everywhere? What’s the deal with the Tardis’ weird groaning? And just who — or what — exactly is The One Who Waits? Well, with ‘The Legend Of Ruby Sunday’, the first in the series’ somehow here already two-part finale, Davies finally gets down to the nitty gritty of doling out some answers. Well, sort of, at least. This is a Russell T. Davies series finale part one after all.

Russell T Davies hints at ongoing Doctor Who mysteries, including the ominous One Who Waits and mysterious entities like The Boss. The showrunner recently clarified that Meep's boss and the One Who Waits are not the same entity. Davies knows who the boss is but states that the revelation has yet to transpire.
Showrunner Russell T Davies explains Doctor Who season 14's ominous The One Who Waits tease in Ncuti Gatwa's era. The Fifteenth Doctor's first full season sees the Time Lord travel with new companion Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) in eight episodes. The first few episodes have established numerous mysteries, from an unusual recurring face to warnings of terrifying powers that threaten to disrupt the universe's natural order. If you’d polled a million Doctor Who fans last week asking them to predict what would happen in “Wild Blue Yonder” – the second of three 60th anniversary specials – not a single one of them would have come close to guessing what that wild ride of an episode entailed. This leaves us wondering: what on earth have they got lined up for “The Giggle”, the third and final episode?
Some things we’ve known for a while: David Tennant and Catherine Tate will be back as the fourteenth Doctor and Donna Noble, Neil Patrick Harris will play The Toymaker – a Who villain that we haven’t seen on TV since the sixties – and Jemma Redgrave is back as Unit boss Kate Lethbridge-Stewart.
Pretty much everything else we know has been gleaned from cryptic glimpses in teasers and trailers – so let’s put all the evidence we have so far together:...

The global debut of Doctor Who on Disney+ is a missed opportunity, as it excludes seasons 1 through 13 and important context about key characters. The exclusion of Classic Who and most of New Who hinders the viewing experience of the 60th anniversary specials, as viewers won't fully grasp the significance of beloved characters returning. Partnering fully with Disney+ would benefit Doctor Who by providing a designated source for all episodes and allowing the show to reach new international heights through ambitious marketing strategies.
The global debut of Doctor Who on Disney+ has one massive drawback that's causing subscribers to miss out on a tremendous opportunity. This glaring problem has the potential to greatly impact the show's viewership and exposure to new audiences overseas. While the Doctor Who fanbase has expanded well beyond its UK roots during its 60-year run, garnering more than nine million fans collectively, its presence on Disney+ could've...

The three Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials, "The Star Beast," "Wild Blue Yonder," and "The Giggle," offer distinct and unique storylines. David Tennant describes "The Giggle" as "bananas," indicating that it will be unlike anything the show has done before. These anniversary specials not only celebrate the show's past but also set the stage for the future of Doctor Who, with showrunner Russell T Davies revealing his plans for the new era.
David Tennant teases how each of Doctor Who's three 60th anniversary specials stand out from one another. Tennant will portray a new incarnation of the series' leading renegade Time Lord, who will be joined by returning companion actor Catherine Tate across the milestone celebrations. Doctor Who's 60th anniversary consists of "The Star Beast," "Wild Blue Yonder," and "The Giggle." The specials begin airing on November 25 and roll out over the subsequent weeks.

Ncuti Gatwa's Fifteenth Doctor in Doctor Who will appear alongside William Hartnell's First Doctor in an upcoming episode. This posthumous appearance of Hartnell is expected to be a step above previous appearances through careful editing and upscaled footage. The prospect of allowing deceased actors in films and TV shows brings controversy, but the meeting of the Fifteenth and First Doctors could make for an exciting 60th-anniversary celebration.
Actor Ncuti Gatwa reveals his Fifteenth Doctor will appear alongside a long-deceased actor who portrayed an earlier incarnation of the Time Lord in upcoming Doctor Who adventures. The Sex Education star will lead the series and take control of the Tardis following David Tennant's brief return to the role for the show's 60th-anniversary celebrations. Gatwa's first adventure will be 2023's seasonal special, and the actor is already confirmed to appear in newly renumbered seasons 1 and 2, as well as a 2024 seasonal special.

Praise Russell T Davies and his list of demands – Doctor Who is coming back to Saturday nights!
There’s no more guesswork required as to when the three 60th anniversary specials will air; the BBC has confirmed that we’ll get one a week starting from Saturday November 25, two days after the show’s official birthday on Thursday 23, and continuing on Saturday December 2 and Saturday December 9.
The exact BBC One time slots have yet to be announced, but common sense says that we’re looking at the pre-Strictly Come Dancing six to seven pm hour in the UK. If Disney+ is synchronising the streaming release worldwide, that would make it somewhere around lunchtime in the US. We’ll update as soon as the time slots are confirmed.
Each new extended special was written by Russell T Davies, with music by returning composer Murray Gold, and will be an hour long.

The 60th Anniversary specials of Doctor Who will celebrate the show's long history and feature surprises and easter eggs for long-term fans. David Tennant and Catherine Tate will return as The Doctor and Donna Noble. The return of the classic Doctor Who villain, The Celestial Toymaker, after 57 years shows that the show honors its history and brings relevance to old episodes for new viewers.

The new trailer for the Doctor Who anniversary specials has dropped, and with it the reveal that Neil Patrick Harris is going to be playing the specials’ Big Bad – The Toymaker. Many fans had already guessed this was coming, because Doctor Who fans have a sixth sense for determining precisely which camp villain in an elaborate outfit has trapped the Doctor in an elaborate mind game of his own devising.
But for those of us who can’t take one look at Neil Patrick Harris in a top hat and tails and immediately determine that he isn’t the Mind Robber or the Dream Lord or the War Lord or the Meddling Monk or a gender-flipped incarnation of the Rani or whoever Jinkx Monsoon is playing next season, a bit of explanation might be in order.

After a Sundance screening in 2002, Lucky McKee’s cult classic horror film May (watch it Here) earned a wider release in 2003 – and to mark the twentieth anniversary of that release, Second Sight Films is giving the film a special edition Blu-ray release in the UK that is packed with hours of bonus features! The release date is July 24th and the Blu-ray can be pre-ordered at This Link – but keep in mind that the Blu-ray is locked to Region B.
Written and directed by McKee, May has the following synopsis: Young misfit May endured a difficult childhood because of her lazy eye. And though contact lenses have helped May adjust as a young adult, her deep-seated awkwardness remains a problem. Adam, a young man obsessed with fixing wrecked cars, takes a shine to May’s oddball ways. But May’s strangeness ultimately drives him away, leaving her open to the advances of her co-worker Polly.
