If you hadn’t noticed that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is now one of Hollywood’s biggest acting commodities then you’re definitely going to over the next few months and years. That's because the former wrestler has four films due for release within the next 12 months, as well as at least Jumanji, Shazam, and Big Trouble In Little China in development, too. But this is just the beginning, because a Fast & Furious producer has now admitted that they're planning for a Luke Hobbs spinoff. And that's music to our ears. Fast 8 will mark the fourth time that Dwayne Johnson has portrayed Luke Hobbs in the franchise. Producer Hiram Garcia has now admitted to ComicBook.com that not only will Luke Hobbs feature more prominently in Fast 8 than he did in Furious 7, but that discussions have already taken place for a ...

Disney is to try and strike Pirates Of The Caribbean-style gold with a new movie based on the Jungle Cruise Disneyland ride.
The upcoming slate of Dwayne Johnson was already looking just a little crowded. Now it turns out that he's adding another film to it as well, this time based on a Disneyland theme park ride.
The ride in question is Jungle Cruise, and Disney has hired John Requa and Glenn Ficarra - Focus, Crazy Stupid Love - to write a screenplay for the movie (it's not clear at this stage whether they'll be directing as well). The movie will reportedly be a period piece along the lines of The African Queen, the 1951 Humphrey Bogart/Katharine Hepburn-headlined classic. Turns out that film was one of the inspirations for the ride.
John Davis and John Fox are to produce the movie, Although where it fits into Johnson's slate remains to be seen.

Monsters attacking buildings, and only Dwayne Johnson can stop them? Get ready for the Rampage movie...
Ah, Rampage. The classic videogame where you played one of a trio of monsters, with your primary aim being to tear down big buildings. If you got to eat a few humans, or punch the occasional car, then even better.
The game was followed by a bunch of sequels, and back in 2011, it was revealed that a possible Rampage movie was being planned. That, though, came to nothing. But now? Rampage is very much back on the movie agenda.
New Line Cinema is pressing ahead with the project, and it's recruited Dwayne Johnson to star. The plan is to shoot the movie once Johnson is done working on Fast & Furious 8. That suggests that Rampage should be heading to cinemas for 2018, but try not to quote us on that.
It sounds a less contentious...

Way back in 2011, news arrived that "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Final Destination" producer John Rickard set up an adaptation of quarter-eating arcade game "Rampage" at New Line. And that was the last anybody heard about it, because really, who is asking for a "Rampage" movie? Well, apparently Hollywood is, because they've just got a big star attached. Dwayne Johnson is now flexing his muscles for the project, with the live-action movie looking to shoot next summer. Ryan Engle ("Non-Stop") is writing the script, and while it's not certain how the game will be turned into a narrative, you may have forgotten that in the video game, the gorilla, lizard, and werewolf are actually the result of an experiment gone wrong on three humans, George, Lizzie, and Ralph. The more you know... Read More: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson To Star In Remake Of 'Big Trouble In Little China' No word yet either.
