Another week is here, and it’s a little quieter than usual, but there are a few noteworthy titles from around the globe that should be on your radar over the next seven days.

In case you missed it, Netflix added over 60 titles over the past week, including 30 new movies and series for March 1st. We’re also slowly learning more titles set to arrive throughout the rest of March, so keep it locked here for the latest.

The Netflix March 2025 originals, movies and TV series have been revealed and can be viewed below. The streaming service has also announced the list of movies and TV series leaving next month.

By now, there are probably only about five people on the planet who have not watched Netflix's mega-hit series "Stranger Things." Since its debut in 2016, this imaginative tale about the ongoing battle between a group of kids from Hawkins, Indiana, and dangerous monsters from another dimension has dazzled audiences with its clever blend of dark horror, science fiction, and 1980's pop culture. Its plucky cast of veterans and young, up-and-comers only adds to the fun. Most Power Rangers crossovers were based on Super Sentai team-up specials and movies, although they were often recontextualized.

Naomi Scott recently starred in the horror sequel, Smile 2, and this successful outing has been a long time coming for the actress, who made her breakout five whole years ago. Smile 2 is the sequel to the 2022 horror hit, Smile. The franchise centers on a demonic force called The Entity, which plagues its victims with horrifying hallucinations of people smiling creepily. Scott may be somewhat unfamiliar to audiences, but she has actually been in the acting business for quite a while. Scott's first major role was in the 2011 Disney Channel original film, Lemonade Mouth, where she was part of a high school band. After that, Scott collected a number of small TV roles until she appeared in 2017's Power Rangers.

The best Elizabeth Banks movies and TV shows include a variety of comedies and a few horror and action movies that show her range as a comedy star. Banks got her start in high school when she tried out for a school play and found her calling. After college, she moved on to study theater at the American Conservatory Theater and then turned down her first offered role (the soap opera Santa Barbara). Instead, she got her start in indie films and then worked steadily in smaller movies for a few years.

From the name alone, The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer in Another World sounds like it would be Crunchyroll's most original isekai of the season just for including a spin on Power Rangers with its Kizuna Five. While that's definitely part of it, the real point of interest comes from how it addresses one of the genre's main issues. Very few isekai highlight the protagonist's former life, and since the vast majority of these heroes start as normal people, they never have any powers to bring with them.

Of course, reverse isekai usually explores the latter scenario to some degree if the hero originally comes from a magical world, but in many of these cases, their powers don't transfer over when they get transported to Earth, all for the sake of conflict. However, this series’ crafted creatures aren’t quite the same as they have been in the past. This deviation in the franchise’s checkered lore could spell problems for the big bad.

The Power Rangers series has been a global phenomenon for over 30 years, but some villains were more remarkable than others. With more than 20 themed TV seasons, three theatrical releases, and countless actors who donned the famous colored suits, the Rangers have taken on countless enemies. When it comes to villains, every Power Rangers season usually has a couple of big and countless monsters of the week as well as the foot soldiers.

Many of these Power Rangers villains are meant to be comical, with memorable monsters of the week, like Purse Head, Pumpkin Rapper, and Shellshock, failing to make any sort of dent in the Power Rangers' armor. Others have stuck around a bit longer and posed more of a challenge on many occasions. For example, Goldar was a staple of the resident baddies but never won a major fight, and Mesogog provided some great build-up but with very little payoff.

Jason and Kimberly are two of the most iconic Power Rangers characters, and whether they were ever supposed to be a couple is a tricky question that involves a lot of rumors, different continuities, and scrapped plans. As the original Red and Pink Rangers, Jason and Kimberly are among the most recognizable characters in the franchise and continue to be part of the Power Rangers universe in different ways. From the comics to the video games, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers remains relevant over 30 years after the original show premiered.

Kimberly and Tommy were the main couple of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, with their relationship starting shortly after the events of “Green With Evil.” However, with Amy Jo Johnson no longer on the show, Power Rangers Zeo had Kimberly break up with Tommy through a letter. Austin St. John’s Jason, on the other hand, returned to the show during Zeo.

The Power Rangers have starred in all manner of bizarre stories over their historic TV career, with certain episodes standing out as being especially strange. Originally created using footage from the Japanese Super Sentai tokusatsu series, the franchise was created with the addition of new footage with American actors meant to bridge the cultural gap. This mishmash of ideas often created some incredibly weird one-off episodes.

Whenever the next Power Rangers movie happens, it should borrow from one of the coolest Green Ranger stories in the franchise to finally correct a 30-year-old mistake. Power Rangers’ most recent movie, the 2017 reboot, bombed at the box office and killed any chances of it getting sequels. With Power Rangers Cosmic Fury’s ending bringing some sort of closure to the show, now is arguably the perfect time for another Power Rangers reboot. Be it on the big screen or with a new TV show, the franchise can use this hiatus to reimagine itself and start fresh, even if it means moving away from the current Power Rangers chronology.

Launching a successful movie franchise has become a more and more difficult task for studios in today’s day and age, with even the most successful of properties not always leading to sure-fire hits at the box office.

Sony’s Spider-Man franchise is a perfect example of this with Sony now planning on slowing down on its Spider-Man universe after a series of flops at the box office in the form of Morbius, Madame Web, Venom: The Last Dance, and Kraven the Hunter. However, Sony’s failed Spider-Man Universe isn’t the only franchise that has struggled in recent years.

The Power Rangers universe was built on crossovers and cameos, many of which came out of nowhere and helped build a sense of continuity that made the show even better. When it comes to special appearances in Power Rangers, there is a difference between the usual crossover episodes between the current and the previous team, and cameos from legacy heroes. Almost every season had one team-up episode featuring the previous Power Rangers team, but not every season had cameos from other generations.

From 1993 to 1998, every Power Rangers show was part of the same overarching story that later became known as the Zordon Era. After Power Rangers in Space, the show started to have more standalone series, which made cameos and crossover episodes very special. The original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Megazord has come to life through impressive, nostalgic '90s cosplay, which shows the Dinozord combo getting built. The Megazord is a combination of the massive Zord robots used by the titular heroes to fight major threats across the series. While there are many strong Megazords throughout Power Rangers history, the Dino Megazord is a classic for being the very first one introduced in the franchise. It is formed by a combination of the T-Rex, Mastodon, Pterodactyl, Triceratops, and Sabertooth Tiger Zords, all of which form the armored titan of a machine.

Now, Super Queen Studio has posted a video showing a time-lapse of the Megazord from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers being built around someone cosplaying as the massive robot. The video first shows the incorporation of the Triceratops and Sabertooth legs, followed by the combined T-Rex, Mastodon, and Pterodactyl that make up the rest of its body.

It’s nearly morphing time again as the Power Rangers franchise is rumored to make its big-screen comeback. If recent reports are to be believed, a rebooted live-action film is being developed that is bound to repackage the nostalgia of the action franchise that gained popularity ever since it hit the small screens back in the 1990s.

This game was made by Digital Eclipse, a company known for bringing old games back to life. Things are further complicated when Sam is possessed by Nancy (Betsy Sodaro) and Jay by Pete (Richie Moriarty).

“We were given the gift of this episode,” McIver says. “When you have Christmas, you have this overlap of people with different personalities and desires. It’s so intense. On top of that, Sam and Jay are also possessed by Nancy and Pete.

When actors Ethan Herisse and Brandon Wilson were getting ready to film “Nickel Boys,” they had no hesitation getting onboard with director RaMell Ross’s vision of telling the story through their characters’ literal point of view, the only slight concern in the back of their minds was “I hope my friends and family don’t hear this and are like, ‘Oh, wait, so you’re not in the movie?’,” said Herisse over breakfast in the corner of a restaurant within a West Hollywood hotel.
