The term "Yeet" doesn't originate from the WWE canon. Yeet is best described as a piece of Gen-z slang first popularized during Vine culture's 2015-16 era. Vines like "This B**** Empty" and "Transgender Street Legend Vol. 1" showcase the definition of the word best, as Yeet essentially means to throw something with enthusiasm and emphatic energy. The term can also be used to express excitement.
Today, WWE viewers associate the term best with "Main Event" Jey Uso, who has turned Yeet into not only a catchphrase but a top merch seller. The popularity of his use of the phrase was especially on display in a promo battle between himself and World Heavyweight Champion Gunther on the January 13th episode of Monday Night Raw.
New viewers who started watching WWE programming upon its Netflix premiere may be wondering how one Superstar was able to turn a term that was popularized 10 years ago...

In professional wrestling, it's easy to spot who WWE thinks the next "top guy" is. They may have a specific look, style, move set - something that sets them apart from the rest of the pack and establishes them as the next in line for a major push to the top of the card. Every so often, an anomaly occurs and changes the trajectory of a performer who may not have previously been seen as "the guy" to lead, and the performer finds the string and keeps pulling until he finds himself at the top of the mountain.
Such is the case of "Main Event" Jey Uso, one of the most prolific and decorated tag team wrestlers of his generation with his brother, Jimmy, and a Superstar who broke free from the shadows of his family, defied expectations, and found the top of the mountain. It's hard to describe a multifaceted talent like Paul Heyman in a few words, or to encapsulate his Hall-of-Fame career in whatever many moments could be contained in a journalism piece. As one of the prominent faces of WWE in the past decade, it's easy to say that Paul Heyman spearheaded the wave of change that resulted in the current Paul Levesque regime and led the company to be the most successful it has ever been, financially and creatively.
New fans may be most familiar with Paul Heyman for his role as the Wiseman in Roman Reigns' Bloodline, or, before that, as the Advocate for the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar. However, the 59-year-old New Yorker is a lot more than that. Aew fans may be surprised to learn that the wrestling style of their favorite promotion would probably not exist if Heyman's brainchild, Extreme Championship Wrestling, did not popularize it in the 1990s.

The ending of the new Netflix sci-fi adventure movie Spaceman is somewhat ambiguous, especially regarding the fate of Adam Sandler's Jakub protagonist. The unique and existential Spaceman was directed by Johan Renck, known for his exceptional work on Chernobyl (2019), Breaking Bad (2009–2011), The Walking Dead (2010), Vikings (2013), and Bloodline (2015). Despite Renck's impressive filmography, Spaceman has received mixed reviews from critics off the bat, earning a Rotten Tomatoes score of just 50%.
Spaceman stars Sandler in another notable dramatic performance seen in previous works such as Uncut Gems, Punch-Drunk Love, and Hustle. Sandler's Jakub receives the unfortunate news that his wife Lenka, played by Academy Award nominee Carey Mulligan, wants to divorce him while he's halfway on an 8-month solo mission to outer space. Jakub is tasked with gathering samples of the mysterious yet mesmerizing Chopra Cloud that randomly became visible in the Earth's sky. Linda Cardellini has been cast in a lead role opposite Jason Bateman and David Harbour in the upcoming HBO dark comedy limited series “Dtf St. Louis,” Variety has learned.
HBO gave the series a seven-episode order in November. It was originally announced as being in development back in 2022 with Harbour and Pedro Pascal attached to star and executive produce. It was originally inspired by the James Lasdun New Yorker article “My Dentist’s Murder Trial: Adultery, False Identities, and a Lethal Sedation.” However, the creative direction of the series evolved over time and it is now based on a wholly original idea with no connection to the original article and with Pascal no longer involved.
The official logline now states the show is “about a love triangle between three adults experiencing middle-age malaise, that leads to one of them ending up dead.” Cardellini will play Carol.

WWE could be setting up Sami Zayn to betray The Bloodline. As Roman Reigns' Og Bloodline is struggling to find a fifth member heading into WarGames, they were grateful that Sami Zayn was willing to bury the hatchet and reunite as their fourth member. However, that hatchet may not be as deep in the ground as Reigns and co. would assume.
Following the latest episode of SmackDown, WWE is starting to place doubts in the minds of audiences that Sami Zayn could truly be Bloodline for life. While in Roman Reigns' personal locker room, the Og Bloodline sees on their TV Solo Sikoa's Bloodline 2.0 making their way to the ring. With everyone else's eyes fixated on the screen, Sami Zayn pulls a phone out of his pocket and tosses it onto the couch.
Either this is an inconsequential moment that means nothing, or it's a subtle story element serving as astronomical foreshadowing.

The most recent developments in the WWEs Bloodline storyline have fans wondering what Bronson Reeds heritage is. Since the Roman Reigns iteration of the group, members have been exclusively Samoan and exclusively related to the Anoai family tree. Except for Sami Zayn, but obviously, hes an Honorary Uce. Other than that, even Solo Sikoa's iteration of the Bloodline hasn't strayed too much away from the formula, including the two Tongans, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa, who are still of Pacific Islander heritage.
Bronson Reed presents an interesting wrinkle in WWEs nearly Samoan-exclusive faction. This past week, he joined Solo Sikoas Bloodline as their fifth man for Survivor Series: WarGames. Its led to some wondering and even debating if Bronson is Samoan or a Pacific Islander and if not, should that should exclude him from officially being in the group.

After spending more than a decade in the indies, Bronson Reed signed with Nxt, WWE's developmental brand. Even after a brief year-long release, Reed was building a steady rise to the top for himself. Then, the company suddenly started elevating him astronomically into the main event picture in more recent months.
One of the reasons behind Reed's newfound popularity is his finishing move, the Tsunami, which sees him splashing down all 330 lbs onto his opponents off the top rope. A series of devastating Tsunami that put Seth Rollins out of action was what truly put Reed on the map in the main roster, and from that point onwards, the Australian monster has been a presence that can't be ignored on Monday Night Raw.
While this is not the first time...

A lot of Ecw fans may have gotten dj vu while watching Roman Reigns' phone call to Paul Heyman on last Friday's episode of WWE SmackDown. The ongoing Bloodline story arc reached its most interesting development, when Reigns tried to call his all-knowing advocate and Wiseman, only to learn the number is disconnected.
As Bubba "Bully" Ray Dudley expressed on Busted Open Radio, and in an accompanying X post, Roman Reigns' phone call to Paul Heyman on WWE SmackDown echoes another storyline from Paul Heyman's extreme alma mater, Ecw, in a story involving Tommy Dreamer and Terry Funk. Dreamer would corroborate Bully's sentiment in an X post of his own, adding that while WWE's storyline heads into Survivor Series: WarGames, Dreamer's kindred storyline was heading into Ecw November to Remember 1996.

The Dcu has many exciting projects under James Gunn and Peter Safran, with two major upcoming releases being the animated Creature Commandos and the live-action Superman movie, both set for 2025.
Among other shows, Lanterns will spotlight Green Lanterns Hal Jordan, John Stewart, and Guy Gardner as its main characters, offering a fresh take on these iconic heroes.
It was recently confirmed that Kyle Chandler (known for Friday Night Lights and Bloodline) will play Hal Jordan in Lanterns, alongside Aaron Pierre as John Stewart. Some fans were critical of Chandler’s casting, feeling he’s “too old” for the role.
Interestingly, Josh Brolin, of a similar age, was also considered, hinting that James Gunn is envisioning a different version of Hal Jordan—one who is older and takes on more of a mentor role.

Dcu has plenty of projects in the works under the watchful eyes of James Gunn and Peter Safran. The projects closest to us are the ‘Creature Commandos’ animated series and ‘Superman’ scheduled for a 2025 release, still plenty of live-action shows focusing on the most notable DC characters are in the works.
One of those shows is ‘Lanterns’ which is set to focus on three notable Green Lanterns, Hal Jordan, John Stewart, and Guy Gardner.
Recently, it’s been confirmed that Kyle Chandler will be portraying Hal Jordan alongside Aaron Pierre’s John Stewart. The initial fan reaction to this casting wasn’t that great as many fans consider the actor “too old” for the role.
Clearly, there is a pattern here as Josh Brolin, who is of similar age to Chandler, was also offered the role and it’s clear that Gunn has a specific version of Hal Jordan in mind – an older,...

Paul Heyman's work as The Wiseman has been some of the best in his WWE career, which says a lot. He's made a splash in every company he's been in - including Ecw and WCW - and has created milestones in WWE. Whether it's cutting some of the best promos in WWE history or advocating for future Hall of Famers like Brock Lesnar and Cm Punk, Paul E. Dangerously has been consistent.
More recently, he's played a pivotal role in The Bloodline, the longest storyline in WWE and wrestling overall. His part in the stable is so important that his absence from television as the story continues speaks volumes as much as he would if he were delivering his boisterous voice over the microphone. The most recent development saw Roman Reigns finally call his special counsel for help on the last SmackDown, only to learn the number is disconnected.

Warning: Spoilers for the November 18, 2024 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw!The WWE Universe is glued to the edge of their seats wondering who Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns will recruit as the fifth men for their teams in the upcoming Survivor Series WarGames. WarGames has quickly replaced the 10-person elimination tag team matches as the staple match of Survivor Series. Once a signature WCW match, one of their better ideas created by Dusty Rhodes in 1987, WarGames was revived for Nxt in 2017 before coming to the main roster in 2022.
Now, the fifth WarGames match to take place on WWE's main roster is set for Survivor Series 2024, pitting Roman Reigns' Og Bloodline against Solo Sikoa's Bloodline 2.0. WWE SmackDown returned to American soil in Buffalo, NY, for a show that begins the road to Survivor Series. The Original Bloodline is back together once again, as Sami Zayn came to Smackdown to confront Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso, with Jey Uso by his side. After being turned down at first, Roman eventually fought side-by-side with Sami against The Bloodline, as the teams seem all but certain to take part in this year's War Games.
Kevin Owens put Randy Orton out of action for the foreseeable future, hitting the banned piledriver on him despite his history of neck-related injuries. Bayley stole a victory from Candice LeRae, Motor City Machine Guns continued their hot streak by beating A-Town Down Under, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill defeated Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton in more tag team action and WWE revealed it will be introducing a US Women's Championship in the coming weeks.

Warning! Spoilers for Green Arrow 2024 Annual #1!One of DC Comics' best forgotten 1990s events has returned, suggesting the possibility of a brand-new sequel. While Crisis on Infinite Earths by Marv Wolfman and George Prez is constantly referenced in continuity, not many fans - or characters, for that matter - remember major events like Zero Hour or Bloodlines - which is a shame, considering DC seems to have hinted at a sequel for the latter.
DC hints at a surprising Bloodlines sequel in Green Arrow 2024 Annual #1 by Joshua Williamson and Sean Izaakse - which is no surprise, given how crucial Oliver Queen has been in many DC events, including the recent Absolute Power by Mark Waid and Dan Mora. While talking to the children he's babysitting, Green Arrow tells them of the major events he's been part of, many of which are set in the future and haven't been shown in...

The Bloodline remains WWE's most captivating storyline, going on for four years and with no sign of stopping. The Bloodline story is now considered one of the longest storylines in pro wrestling history, and it gave birth to one of WWE's greatest factions. The bulk of the story has been built off the backs of the Anoa'i family legacy. However, with all the exciting moments and compelling characters that this story has gifted to wrestling audiences, none was as well-received as Sami Zayn's role in The Bloodline.
Ironically, the one Bloodline member with no blood relations to the Anoa'i family is beloved as if he were part of the family. Some fans - and his "dawg" Jey Uso - would argue that "Sami Uso" is part of the family.
The notion may sound preposterous on paper, but by looking back at the history of The Bloodline and Sami's presence in it,...

The upcoming Green Lantern show, titled Lanterns, has already begun assembling a strong cast, raising anticipation for the Dcu installment. Everything that is known about Lanterns has come from the mouth of James Gunn himself as the filmmaker continues building the foundations of what will hopefully be DC's cinematic resurgence. Lanterns falls under the many movies and shows in the Dcu's Chapter One, titled "Gods and Monsters," and will be the first proper integration of the titular Green Lanterns into the universe after a brief tease in 2025's Superman.
When the show releases, the Dcu will have three Green Lanterns. As alluded to, the first will be Nathan Fillion's Guy Gardner, making his Dcu debut in Superman. The other two heroes will be first introduced in Lanterns, with Gunn recently announcing the actors set to play the famous DC Green Lanterns of John Stewart and Hal Jordan. WWE debuted the Crown Jewel Championships for the first time in Saudi Arabia, as the Men's and Women's World Champions from Raw and Smackdown met in Champion vs Champion bouts. All other champions also retained their titles. WWE made its final pit stop on the road to Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia this weekend with a SmackDown show that was pre-taped after last Friday's episode. Jey is his own man in 2024 and respect must be paid as Roman and The Usos will face The Bloodline at this weekend's Ple.
Elsewhere, The Street Profits defeated Pretty Deadly after they'd finished flirting with Hamilton creator Lin-Maunel Miranda, Iyo Sky won an action-packed Fatal Four Way, Liv Morgan pinned a particularly feisty and threatening Tiffany Stratton, and Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton defeated Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser in the night's Main Event, before Kevin Owens spoiled the night's celebrations.

Hot on the heels of Bad Blood, WWE SmackDown opened from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina with the latest installment of The Bloodline Saga. Jimmy Uso arrived after his return at last weekend's Ple and was swiftly joined by Roman Reigns to continue their reunion. The night did not go well for the pair, as Solo Sikoa would beat the returning Uso in the night's Main Event, and Reigns would end the show taking a savage, Jacob Fatu-led beatdown from The Bloodline.
LA Knight successfully defended his US Championship against Carmelo Hayes, and Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill would also leave Greensville with their Tag Team gold. Nia Jax was on the receiving end of a Raw invasion, suffering blows from both Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley and Kevin Owens would bum-rush the show to confront Cody Rhodes and attack Randy Orton, ending the two's long-standing friendship.
