Add Linda Cardellini to HBO’s latest throuple. The “Bloodline” and “Dead to Me” star has been cast in “Dtf St. Louis,” HBO’s upcoming comedy-drama starring Jason Bateman and David Harbour,

The upcoming seven-episode limited series follows “a love triangle between three adults experiencing middle-age malaise that leads to one of them ending up dead,” a press release for the series reads. The dark comedy comes from Steven Conrad, who also serves as its writer and director. Conrad is known for his work on “The Pursuit of Happyness,” “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” and Prime Video’s “Patriot.” “Dtf St. Louis” is currently in pre-production.

In addition to Conrad, the series will be executive produced by Bateman and Harbour as well as Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch for Escape Artists; Michael Costigan for Bateman’s Aggregate Films; Kristina Wenson for Bravo Axolotl; Molly Allen; and Bruce Terris.

Linda Cardellini has been cast in a lead role opposite Jason Bateman and David Harbour in the upcoming HBO dark comedy limited series “Dtf St. Louis,” Variety has learned.

HBO gave the series a seven-episode order in November. It was originally announced as being in development back in 2022 with Harbour and Pedro Pascal attached to star and executive produce. It was originally inspired by the James Lasdun New Yorker article “My Dentist’s Murder Trial: Adultery, False Identities, and a Lethal Sedation.” However, the creative direction of the series evolved over time and it is now based on a wholly original idea with no connection to the original article and with Pascal no longer involved.

The official logline now states the show is “about a love triangle between three adults experiencing middle-age malaise, that leads to one of them ending up dead.” Cardellini will play Carol.

The crime drama series Dexter originally aired on Showtime for eight seasons, from 2006 to 2013… and even though I had access to Showtime during those years, I completely missed out on it. The show was revived with a season called Dexter: New Blood in 2021, and now a prequel series called Dexter: Original Sin is set to begin airing on the Paramount+ streaming service as of this Friday, December 13th, with the Showtime premiere to follow on December 15th. The Bloodline remains WWE's most captivating storyline, going on for four years and with no sign of stopping. The Bloodline story is now considered one of the longest storylines in pro wrestling history, and it gave birth to one of WWE's greatest factions. The bulk of the story has been built off the backs of the Anoa'i family legacy. However, with all the exciting moments and compelling characters that this story has gifted to wrestling audiences, none was as well-received as Sami Zayn's role in The Bloodline.

Ironically, the one Bloodline member with no blood relations to the Anoa'i family is beloved as if he were part of the family. Some fans - and his "dawg" Jey Uso - would argue that "Sami Uso" is part of the family.

The upcoming Green Lantern show, titled Lanterns, has already begun assembling a strong cast, raising anticipation for the Dcu installment. Everything that is known about Lanterns has come from the mouth of James Gunn himself as the filmmaker continues building the foundations of what will hopefully be DC's cinematic resurgence. Seann William Scott has joined the upcoming ABC comedy series “Shifting Gears,” Variety has learned.

Scott will appear alongside series leads Tim Allen and Kat Dennings, as well as cast members Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, Maxwell Simkins, and Barrett Margolis. The show was picked up to series in July with plans to begin shooting in November.

As previously announced, Allen stars in the series as Matt, “the stubborn, widowed owner of a classic car restoration shop,” per the official logline. “When Matt’s estranged daughter (Dennings) and her kids move into his house, the real restoration begins.”

Scott will appear in the newly created series regular role of Gabriel, who is described as a “family friend of Matt & Riley who works in the shop with Matt.”

Kyle Chandler has boarded HBO’s Lanterns and will star as Hal Jordan. The announcement comes hot on the heels of Aaron Pierre’s casting as John Stewart.

“The series follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland,” reads HBO’s synopsis.

Lanterns is based on the DC comic Green Lantern, with Chris Mundy, Emmy winner Damon Lindelof (Watchmen), and Eisner Award winner Tom King (Mister Miracle) writing the series. James Hawes is directing episodes one and two. Mundy, Lindelof, King, and Hawes are the executive producers.
