I have watched hallmark movies and i generally find them entertaining. Not this one. Basically, the writers made the girl strong and independent to the point that she does not need a man. But then the writers need to create a regular love story so they insert a man to the story, who is super passive and having no character. In a regular love story there is femininity and masculinity but Christmas, Love and Fudge 2024 has only femininity. The writers should have just deleted the man and inserted another female character for goodness sake. I am not sure if its the writers or maybe the execution (director) who is at fault here, but i give this a 1 out of 10 rating.

Christmas, Love and Fudge

I don&#39;t care if people get too serious about movies. I just enjoyed the sweet little Christmas love story. Besides as long as Christopher Russell is in the movie. I&#39;ll watch it. What could go wrong? Yes it is a story that does play with the usual pairing of someone who likes social media and works with marketing and someone who likes to do things old school. Yes there is the usual scene where they get a Christmas tree (this time at least the tree looks bad and not like it won a contest). Yes there will be Christmas cookies. Yes Christopher&#39;s character will struggle, he will be clumsy, he&#39;ll bump into someone, he&#39;ll make funny faces, he&#39;ll end up with something on his face (fudge), he&#39;ll make an awkward dance and of course there will be a shirtless scene. At this point in his career asking for a shirtless scene of his is like asking for his driver&#39;s license. It&#39;s proof that it&#39;s truly him. But then he is always the hottie character that looks superficial but turns out to be the cutie with a heart of gold. The good thing about making him look funny is that I guess this time people won&#39;t say he looked as if he was falling asleep. At least these time he is good corporate guy rather than the one who&#39;s trying to destroy the town even if in the end he is good. Anyway back to the story. Most of this movies have big city folk messing up with small town people&#39;s businesses. However in this one they are both originally from the small town but moved to the big city as adults. They return for Christmas. In the case of Christopher&#39;s character is to take care of his aunt&#39;s pastry business the one that has a delicious original fudge that Erin&#39;s character is trying to recreate for a holiday show that could take her own pastry business in the city to the next level. The problem is that the reason why the nephew is taking care of his aunts business is because she is going on vacation to meet her boyfriend. Erin&#39;s character goes to get fudge and as it turns out the fudge gets sold out and there is no easy recipe. The aunt is the only one that knows how to make it. This takes Christophers and Erins characters on a quest to try and find all the right ingredients by recreating the activities that his aunt and uncle did that made them fall in love. It&#39;s pure comfort entertainment. I liked that the romance was kind of secondary (doesn&#39;t really kick off until the last 15 minutes) and the spotlight was on how two very different people can come together to solve a mystery about a recipe for fudge. Which is fun. Two unlikely friends. He spoke Spanish on this one. Talking about him again they made him look funny but not dumb which is sometimes hard to pull off on a male lead. He is smart. I think the romance was kind of like the icing on the cake. The central part of the story was really about the fudge and this beautiful teamwork.
