Rebecca Falcone: Send me a pin and I would like to point out that I am licensed to carry concealed in this state.
Tommy Norris: I'd like to point out, Rebecca, you don't need a license to carry concealed in this state. That's why we all wave at each other when we drive. 'Cause everybody's fucking armed.

After the premiere episode, I gave this series an 8 and wrote this caution: 'Succinctly stated, I fear creator/writter Taylor Sheridan may go bumper-sticker mentality and reduce the series to: Big Oil: Bad! Big Green: Good! If that happens, I'll change my rating and be gone!'
Well, Taylor Sheridan did no such thing and, in fact, wrote some of the best defenses for oil that ever came out of Hollywood, and skewered a lot of the woke 'Green' nonsense! Well done, old son!
I gave this season-ending episode a 9, and I'd like to give the entire Season 1 a 9, but I have to leave it at a great 8. The reason for that is two-fold: Tommy's ex-wife, Angela, and her mini-me daughter, Ainsley, played by Ali Larter and Michelle Randolph, respectively. I simply cannot stand these two characters. I cringe every time they make an appearance. I think they're supposed to provide comic relief, but I don't find them funny in the extreme!
Billy Bob Thornton is simply outstanding in this role. Accolades galore! Colm Feore, as the company lawyer with a heart and solid ethics, is a character we almost never see.
I look very much forward to Season 2!
