Hallmark has quietly shared some future programming information that will definitely polarize some viewers. The network is going to premiere some Royal Movies soon. Although Royal Movies like The Royal Nanny, or Private Princess Christmas are smattered throughout the holiday season, this time it is different.

What is unusual about this crop is that the feel-good network appears to be airing a trio of movies with this trope. Usually one is sprinkled into a themed collection. But, these all have very different stories. Here is information on this trio of Royal Movies that star such fan favorites as the Golden Retriever of the network itself, Andrew Walker, Mallory Jansen, and Nichole Sakura.

Hallmark is going to premiere a trio of Royal Movies sometime between early March and before Christmas In July.

Every year, you know you can tune in to Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Mystery and have quite the pick of holiday movies between “Countdown to Christmas” and “Miracles of Christmas.” And every year, you know you end up having your favorite and the one you think was the best of the batch. With 47 new movies across the two linear networks and the streaming service Hallmark+, there are quite a number of contenders. There were new movies in fan-favorite franchises (Debbie Macomber’s Joyful Mrs. Miracle was a great addition), sequels to big hits (Three Wiser Men and a Boy was just as entertaining as the first), long-awaited cast reunions (Santa Tell Me finally brought When Calls the Heart‘s Erin Krakow and Daniel Lissing back onscreen together), and even some sports mixed in. The one major complaint from Hallmark lovers about the launch of Hallmark+ was that they couldn’t watch new movies on the streamer.

It appears that Hallmark fans are getting their wish. The feel-good entertainment company had been attempting to thread a particularly difficult needle with the rebranding of its subscription video-on-demand streaming service Hallmark+. In an effort to not upset their linear distribution partners, when Hallmark refreshed and relaunched its streamer, its library was highlighted by a handful of exciting original movies and series, built on the foundation of years of films that originally aired on the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Mystery. However, what was noticeably lacking and increasingly frustrating to fans was that those channels’ new films were not available to stream on the service. Now, it appears that will change in the new year.

Big changes are coming to Hallmark+ in 2025. After just a few months since launching, the platform is making some adjustments to its strategy. Initially, Hallmark+ was planned to show separate content from the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Mystery Channel, but that’s all about to change.

Starting in 2025, all new Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Mystery original movies will be available to stream on Hallmark+ the day after they air on TV, as Variety reports.

To prepare for this shift, Hallmark added a dozen new holiday movies on December 17, and another 24 are scheduled for December 20. This gives Hallmark+ members access to over 40 holiday movies, including all the 2024 holiday content from Hallmark’s linear networks.

Right now, Hallmark has a deal with Peacock, which means movies from the ‘Countdown to Christmas’ event are available for streaming three days after airing. That’s why a movie like Trading Up Christmas (which airs December...

Hallmark+ is making some major changes, three months after its launch. The streaming platform was originally set to stream separate content from the Hallmark Channel/Hallmark Mystery debuts, but that will change heading into the new year.

Effective in 2025, all new Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Mystery original movie premieres will be streaming the next day on Hallmark+. A dozen were added on Dec. 17, with 24 more being added on Dec. 20.

Hallmark+ members will have access to over 40 Hallmark original holiday movies, including all 2024 holiday content from the linear networks. Hallmark currently has a deal with Peacock, in which original “Countdown to Christmas” movies are available to stream for three days after they air. (This is likely why “Trading Up Christmas” which airs Dec. 19 and is not hitting the app quite yet.)

New animated adventures also await the whole family with films like Ruby Gillman Teenage Kraken and Sing 2 when they arrive for streaming later on in the month.

She portrays Anya, a woman determined to honor her father’s dog-sledding legacy by competing against his fiercest rival-and Anya might just stumble upon love during her journey.

While dog sledding in the Arctic Circle may not be a common aspiration for many, Matula embraced the challenge wholeheartedly, with dogged determination.
