I love Jake Epstein so it really pains me to flame this movie.
Bella was too much of a clueless boss. Mike's agent was a parody. Mike's dream part was to be a superhero that is a rooster? Aubri has a straight male best friend who is not in love with her? These are all parodies. None of them are subtly done.
I have said many times that Christmas movies have a difficult relationship with reality. Don't expect everything to be reasonable and real. But this movie pushes that beyond what I can accept in that category, especially how everything turns out with the big show. Or Mike Baxter's choice. I don't think these were supposed to be parodies, but perhaps I'm wrong.
There were some lines and some jokes that stood on their own as funny.
