Well, from the title and the cover of this 2024 movie, I have to admit that I wasn't harboring the biggest of expectations. But I opted to give director Haylie Duff the benefit of the doubt, since it was a movie that I had neither heard about or watched before.
The storyline was not impressive. Sure, it was a watchable movie, but it was oh so generic. It was a dime-a-dozen type of movies, and writers Lori Canevaro and Eric Weinstock didn't really impress with what they conjured up for the storyline here. Was I entertained? No, not particularly, but I managed to sit through the ordeal, hoping it would improve, which it ultimately never did. The movie sort of slipped into a slump early on and never recovered from that sluggish pace.
I was not familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie, which is actually something I do enjoy when I sit down to watch a movie. It is enjoyable to see new and unfamiliar talents on the screen. And the acting performances in "Killing All My Sisters" were fair.
Would I recommend "Killing All My Sisters" to fans of the thriller genre? No, not really. There are far more compelling and thrilling movies out there in the thriller genre.
My rating of "Killing All My Sisters" lands on a four out of ten stars.
