Written by Benjamin Cavell (Justified), the project follows the lives of the elite Navy SEALs as they train, plan and execute the most dangerous, high-stakes missions our country can ask. Paré, our sister site Deadline reports, will play Mandy, a whip-smart CIA analyst.

The cast thus far also includes Max Thieriot (Bates Motel), Neil Brown Jr. (Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency), A.J. Buckley (CSI: NY), Toni Trucks (Franklin & Bash).

The Mad Men star has been cast in The Interestings, Amazon’s pilot about friends who meet at an arts camp in 1974 when they’re in their teens, TVLine has learned exclusively.

The potential series, based on Meg Wolitzer’s novel and starring Six Feet Under‘s Lauren Ambrose, follows the friends over the 30 years following their camp experience.

Paré will play Ash, a successful theater director and philanthropist who is harboring a secret from her husband.

Since American Horror Story: Freak Show characters have begun dropping like flies (of the Vincent Price variety), we went into “Tupperware Party Massacre” well aware that the season’s body count was likely to rise again. (The episode’s title was also a pretty big clue. Hello?!?)

The pro dancer is now in her 16th season on the show and will be blogging for People about competing with actor and retired mixed martial arts fighter Randy Couture for season 19.

There were a few things that didn't go according to plan in Week 2. We loved the song choice, "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," but the Otis Redding version took some of the edge needed for cha-cha away. It was something we didn't think through all the way.

This week's episode of DWTS was a special My Jam Monday edition, where the songs were chosen by contestants who were able to dance to any music they chose. The routines were hot, the judges were excited, and the stars were ready to show how much they had improved from last week.

Four new scripted shows debut tonight: two dramas on USA ("Rush" at 9, "Satisfaction" at 10), two comedies on FX ("Married" at 10, "You're the Worst" at 10:30). I loved none of them, but found enough interesting ideas, and enough overlap between several of them, to consider some kind of combined review. I could, for instance, have doubled up "Rush" and "Satisfaction" and mused for a bit about the state of the USA brand as it moves further away from the "blue skies" formula of "Burn Notice" and other shows, and how "Rush" feels like an attempt to do a darker version of one of those blue skies shows (it's "Royal Pains" meets "Ray Donovan"), while "Satisfaction" is a wild swing in a completely different direction. Or I could have written about the very different approaches that "Satisfaction" and "Married" take to the idea of marriages curdling from over-familiarity and a lack of sex.

If you’ve been watching NBC’s new hospital drama The Night Shift, we’ve heard mention of Rick, the Bf of semi-closeted Drew (Brendan Fehr). In this week’s episode we finally get to meet him, and it’s not under the best circumstances.

In the episode, Rick is brought into the hospital for more of a medical than personal reason and Drew is immediately not comfortable having his personal life crash up against his professional life, where he’s tried very hard to keep the fact that he’s gay close to the vest.

Luke Macfarlane plays Rick and the Brothers & Sisters alum talked to TheBacklot about the role, how gay couples in the military handle their relationship, working with Fehr as well as what else he’s been up to. Let’s check in with one of our favorite out actors.

How much do we miss Kevin & Scotty?

They had their ups and downs, and had to endure a lot of Walker drama/silliness, but the Brothers & Sisters pair was one of the greatest gay couples in TV history, and are sorely missed.

Of course, the reason for that success was the chemistry between Matthew Rhys and Luke Macfarlane. The out Canadian actor imbued Scotty with a sweetness and vulnerability that was touching and … fetching.

Since the end of Brothers & Sisters, Luke has kept busy, starring in the short film Erection, a couple of episodes of Smash, the lead role in the Canadian sitcom Satisfaction, and this year he’ll appear in the new series The Night Shift.

This weekend is his 34th birthday, so let’s take a look back at some highlights from one of our favorite out actors.
