The school is preparing for their annual Thanksgiving dance. Miss Bottomly expresses concern that students don't seem inclined to dance, so John suggests a costumed, rock-oriented theme- "Plymouth Rock". Marjorie begins building a Plymouth Rock out of chicken wire and paper. Stanley and Homer volunteer to help, but make a mess of things and are balled out by John. John sits down to talk with Karen (Lorie Busk), an interest of Ricky who he feels is more interested in Little John. She is just using her untrue feelings to make Ricky ask her to the dance. Both problems will take some effort to clear up.
