After watching the romantic movie Jamie goes to the kitchen for some beer and then takes the garbage out. But the garbage reappears now and then in front of the couch.
When Jamie comes back to New York City from Los Angeles, at the airport, a man in yellow t-shirt and blue jeans passes her twice.
In the overhead shot of Jamie starting to climb the chain link fence at the Hollywood sign the fence material is on the far side of the top rail. However, the low-angle shot of her sitting on the fence shows the fencing has changed sides.
When Tommy jumps to the river we see that he jumps close to three feet away from the shore based on the impulse he took, later and from Dylan's point of view we see the boat a little farther, and finally when he starts the engine and goes, the distance is much bigger.
On the stairs, in the Grand Central Station scene, the girl in the blue dress passes by twice.
At the airport, Dylan meets his arriving father at the aircraft gate rather than outside a security checkpoint. If meeting or picking up a family member that is disabled, or a young child, non-passenger tickets are issued, so the competent adult can pick up meet the individual at the gate. This would apply to the father because of his illness (Alzheimer's Disease).
When Jamie flies home to New York City from Los Angeles, she gets a text from Dylan asking if she got home safely. It's supposed to be July 4th, but the date on the phone is 08/24/2010.
Jamie gets a call while in the bathroom. She holds a conversation with the person, but you can see in the reflection on the mirror that she hasn't answered the call - the green ('Answer') and red ('Decline') buttons can be seen.
When Dylan and his nephew are sitting still in the water, talking on their jet skis, you can see his nephew's jet ski abruptly pull to the side because his jet ski is on a string and the jet ski was pulling away.
When Dylan takes Jamie to meet his family and they all gather on the porch by the beach, a man in a white shirt and a woman in an orange bikini, walk through the background three or four times within a minute. They are always going in the same direction, and at least two of their appearances seem to be the exact same background footage played over again.
In one of the bedroom scenes, Jamie and Dylan are clearly covered with one silver blanket however when Dylan lifts his head lying on top of Jamie, both his back and her front are covered which could have been only possible with two blankets.
Although the end credits feature the logo for the Panavision Genesis, that camera was not used to shoot this film. It was actually shot entirely with Sony F35 cameras.
After Dylan's interview is over for GQ, Jamie shows Dylan Brooklyn Bridge, downtown Manhattan and takes him to an outdoor bar. While they talk in outdoor bar, Jamie says things like flattery close, take-it-or-leave-it close, sympathy close. Jamie is actually giggling when she says 'sympathy close'.
All the airport scenes that are supposed to be in New York are actually shot at LAX which is very easy to identify.
When Jamie takes Dylan to Times Square, they exit the subway in front of the TKTS building. In reality, that space is occupied by an Olive Garden and not a subway entrance.
When Dylan picks up his father at the airport and eat at the restaurant Daily Grill, there isn't a Daily Grill at Newark airport or anywhere in New York City. However, they do have a location in LAX but Dylan is picking up his father in New York City not Los Angeles.
Dylan says "Grand Central Station" instead of its correct name Grand Central Terminal.
