A man from Småland finds oil in his backyard, an evil oil company called "Skånsk Petrolium" wants to claim the oil for themselfs, high jinks ensue.

Åsa Nisse, a man from Knohult lives with his wife. One day he invents a waterpump but instead of finding water, he finds lots of oil in his backyard which leads to him being the most popular guy in town. However, he soon finds that the oil becomes more trouble than joy.
