Netflix is removing several titles in March of 2025, including a selection of movies on the first of the month!

If you’re on Netflix often, you’ll remember seeing one of these films in the top 10 most watched section recently. Cillian Murphy, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Holland‘s In the Heart of the Sea was actually the number 1 movie on Netflix in early January, and now it’s being removed next month.

There’s lots of other fan favorite titles included, so be sure to scroll through the whole list. And mark your calendars to make sure to stream some of these titles before they’re gone for good!

2025 is in full swing, and with March just around the corner, it’s time for you to look ahead at the movies and series scheduled to depart Netflix throughout the month of March. The biggest notable TV series leaving is The Mindy Project, while hit films like Scooby-Doo and Love Again, among others, are also set to depart.

As always, Netflix’s library is constantly evolving. That means new titles are always on the way, but because Netflix licenses titles from big distributors, they’re not always on Netflix forever. When this license (or rental period) comes to an end, the movie or series leaves Netflix.

After more than a decade of development, Skyblivion is finally coming out sometime this year. If you haven’t heard of Skyblivion yet, it is the ambitious fan-made remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in Skyrim‘s engine. An untitled UFO conspiracy thriller from Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski has ignited an out-of-this-world bidding war, THR reports.

Written by Zach Baylin, the package also includes legendary producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

Little is known about the plot, but it’s described as “All the President’s Men with UFOs.” No stars are attached and the budget range is unclear, but it is seeking a greenlight.

Part of the appeal is the veneer of authenticity to the pitch. Former United States Air Force officer David Grusch, who made headlines in 2023 when he testified before Congress that the government has been studying “non-human”spacecrafts and pilots, is said to be consulting on the project.

Amazon, Apple, Lionsgate, Paramount, and Warner Bros. are among the interested studios, with sources saying bidding is escalating “quickly and aggressively.”

In the mid-2000s, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was a groundbreaking RPG that captivated millions of players’ hearts.

There is no scarcity of drama in Tinseltown and sometimes, it is all so absurd it will leave you confused. The latest controversy comes from Elon Musk’s ex-girlfriend, Grimes, and her former friend, Azealia Banks. While their feud began all the way back in 2018, it recently resurfaced in December 2024 and the Oscar-nominated film, Wicked, has something to do with it. When Grimes responded to a meme depicting her and Azealia Banks as the lead characters of Wicked, Glinda and Elphaba, it did not sit right with the latter who full-on blasted the former for trying to put up an innocent act. Azealia Banks brought Grimes’ relationship with Elon Musk into the conversation pointing out everything he apparently did wrong, including dumping Grimes. Grimes then set the record straight.

As Fallout fans, we all know that there’s one particular entry in the franchise that turned everything upside down, and that’s Fallout 3. When it debuted all the way back in 2008, it brought an excellent experience, near-perfect balance between combat, open-world exploration, and story.

Let’s be honest here, Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion is one of the best games to ever come out of Bethesda. Not only did the game manage to polish the template laid down by Morrowind, but it elevated the franchise to a height that gamers had never seen before in the entirety of the gaming industry.

Oblivion was unique because it brought many new things to the table, such as fast travel, improved quest logs, advanced dialogue trees and voice acting, vibrant colors, and more. There’s absolutely no denying the fact that Bethesda’s Todd Howard is one of the most well-known auteurs in the entire gaming industry. He joined the studio back in 1994 and played a major role when it came to the CD version of the Elder Scrolls Arena.

Howard’s first major work was 1995’s Terminator: Future Shock, after which he rose to fame. Many consider his later works, such as Fallout 3, Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, and Starfield, to be the peak of his career.

Netflix has revealed the list of films and TV series that will be removed from the streaming service beginning on February 1, 2025, and continuing throughout the month.

There are two TV shows that are being removed: The Mindy Project and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. There are several fan fave movies that are departing as well, including the Fast and the Furious franchise.

I am a huge fan of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and have been since I was quite young. It was my introduction to Bethesda's style of game as well as the first-person RPG genre. Oblivion also served as the bedrock of my cringe-worthy childhood YouTube channel, but the less said about that, the better. I have lots of fond memories of sitting at my tiny desk in front of my big blocky white monitor and loading up Oblivion, hearing the music blast through the tinny speakers, and feeling immediately excited.

A remake of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion may be coming soon, according to leaked information from a developer. First released in 2006, Oblivion is a game-changing open-world RPG developed and published by Bethesda. Rumors of an Oblivion remake have been circualting for a while, but the latest info seems to confirm that such a thing is already on the way, and reveals a few vital gameplay details.

According to MP1st, an Oblivion remake is currently in development at Virtuos. Per the article, this is based on the personal website of a former Virtuos employee, who claimed they had been working on a full remake of Oblivion. It's much more than a simple enhanced port: the Oblivion remake is allegedly being made in Unreal Engine 5. It'll also feature reworks for many of its major game systems.

There’s no denying the fact that Kumail Nanjiani has made a name for himself in the world of Hollywood, all thanks to his role as Kingo in Marvel’s Eternals. Even though the movie wasn’t a massive hit, Kingo managed to capture everyone’s hearts.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is one of the most beloved RPGs of all time, managing to both encapsulate the challenging difficulty and unique progression systems of Bethesda's earlier RPG efforts and the slew of accessible mechanics that now dominate the genre. However, modders are taking things up a notch with Skyblivion. This is a mod that recreates an entirely different game and has caught everyone’s attention. It’s looking to establish itself as a real competitor to Skyrim by perfecting one aspect that Howard and his team never failed to deliver on.

Exclusive: Filming has wrapped in the UK on under-the-radar action-thriller Turbulence, starring Olga Kurylenko (Oblivion), Jeremy Irvine (Treadstone), Hera Hilmar (See) and Kelsey Grammer (Frasier).

The film reunites the team behind 2024 action film No Way Up, including director Claudio Faeh (Northmen: A Viking Saga) and writer Andy Mayson, who also produces.

The synopsis reads: “Young married couple Zach and Emmy decide to take a hot air balloon trip across the Italian Dolomites to rekindle their relationship. When they and pilot Harry are joined by a third passenger, Julia, events unfold in ways they could never imagine five thousand meters in the air.”

The film was shot on location in the Dolomites and London, with studio shooting at Twickenham studios. It is now in post-production.

Will Clarke and Andy Mayson (Altitude) produce alongside and Molly Conners and Amanda Bowers (Phiphen). Altitude is handling international sales.
