Nice authentic/"traditional" Gaelic vocals and instrumentals. Singers and instrumentalists appear to be a mix of professionals and local ordinary people (usually elderly Gaelic speakers). Very little narration, just identifying performers, and very short statements about the music. So you get mostly music. Unfortunately, there are no English language subtitles. Very nice visuals too, running in the background: landscapes, seascapes, attractive traditional architecture, including interiors. Ep. 1, "Love songs" is pretty slow-paced. Ep. 2 "Songs of Occupation" gets a little more lively. Glad Ovation is running this (Feb 2009).
