If you thought that Lara Jean's older sister looked familiar in the To All the Boys I've Loved Before teaser, then you thought right. In the upcoming Netflix adaptation of Jenny Han's bestselling novel, Lara Jean (played by Lana Condor) accidentally reveals her secret feelings for all five of her former crushes, and her wise big sis, Margot, is played by Janel Parrish, best known as Mona Vanderwaal on Pretty Little Liars. Seriously, the cast for this movie is out-of-control good.
You probably don't even remember whether or not you liked Mona after the series finale, and we can't blame you. Parrish's Pll character led a complicated arc, playing the show's main antagonist for the first two seasons, and then again during the first half of the fifth season. But besides hitting Bethany Young with a shovel, killing Charlotte Dilaurentis, and making a deal with "A...

It may get Awkward. watching Tamara and Matty watch Jenna and Jake reliving the past in a game of charades, but could you imagine being the new kid? As Season 2 begins, fans were briefly introduced to Nolan Gerard Funk's new character Collin, but as you've probably figured out already--there's a lot more to him than just being the pretty face newbie in class. Nolan recently let me in on what to expect in on what his audition process was like, and what characters he'll be interacting with the most. According to the 27-year-old Glee alum, he'll be quite the "challenge to many of the other students."

Ever wondered what happened to Ralphie from A Christmas Story? Of course you didn't, but that didn't stop Warner Bros. from cooking up a sequel to the beloved holiday classic. The sequel is going straight to BluRay and will arrive on October 30, just days before the Broadyway musical adaptation of the 1983 classic. The sequel follows Ralphie as a teenager who has clearly upgraded his wish list in the new film as he yearns for a 1938 Hupmobile Skyline convertible. Some things haven't changed though. Triple dog dares and Ralphie's dad, played here by Daniel Stern, are carried over from the first film. A Christmas Story 2 stars Braeden Lemasters (Easy A) as Ralphie. Are you looking forward to seeing this sequel or are you already loading up your Red Ryder Bb gun to...

Jennifer Lawrence, House at the End of the Street Jennifer Lawrence stars in House at the End of the Street, Mark Tonderai’s horror / thriller to be released by Relativity Media on September 21. The video below makes House at the End of the Street’s house at the end of the street look more than a little like Psycho’s Bates Motel. Jennifer Lawrence has the Janet Leigh role (minus the shower scene and the all that stabbing), while Max Thieriot comes across as a rebooted version of Anthony Perkins‘ Norman Bates. Now, does Thieriot have a sister — instead of a mother — fixation? In addition to The Hunger Games‘ Lawrence (a Best Actress Oscar nominee for Debra Granik’s Winter’s Bone) and Foreverland / My Soul to Take’s Thieriot, House at the End of the Street also features Elisabeth Shue (a Best Actress nominee for Mike Figgis‘ 1995 drama Leaving Las Vegas,...

MTV is full of fun today, and while you may think that has something to do with the clip of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt.1 that is being revealed tonight, it actually has a lot more to do with the info that Awkward. is coming to DVD on November 14th.
That show blew me away from the first episode, and even though there were a few rough patches throughout the season, it's still a winner.
First, I've got some video clips, but be sure to check below for all the info on the DVD release.
Mac Miller stopped by for a "First Date" with MTV News' Rya Backer. Rya took the self-described "half-Jewish" rapper to NYC' Katz' Delicatessen. There, they enjoyed some pastrami on rye, talked Jewish rap history and Mac's 5 year plan: to win a Heisman, a Nobel Peace Prize and a Kids Choice Award.

You can add another name to Christopher McQuarrie’s upcoming adaptation of the Lee Child novel “One Shot”, which will star Tom Cruise as an ex-mp name Jack Reacher who runs afoul of some Russian tough guys after a former acquaintance of his goes on a shooting spree. Okay, so acquaintance is a pretty generous description. Reacher basically hates his guts. THR reports that “Triple Dog” actress Alexia Fast has landed the role of Sandy, a spunky young local gal who takes part in a set-up of our hero. Reacher, as he is wont to do, of course turns that around. You don’t set up Jack Reacher, you can only hope to contain him. She joins Cruise, Rosamund Pike as the love interest, and Richard Jenkins as a D.A. prosecuting the shooter. David Oyelowo was also previously cast as a cop. Look for McQuarrie’s “One Shot” in...

Alexia Fast has joined the cast of One Shot. THR reports that Fast will star in the crime thriller from Paramount-Skydance Productions that stars Tom Cruise. The film is an adaptation of Lee Childs' 2005 Jack Reacher novel. The story centers on Reacher (Cruise), "an ex-Army cop who gets sucked into the mystery surrounding the arrest of a sniper accused of killing five people."
Fast will play Sandy, "a seductive young siren involved in a setup of Cruise's character." She has starred in such films as Helen and Triple Dog. The script was penned by Christopher McQuarrie, who is also set to direct. Filming is expected to begin in Pittsburgh in October.
While I am not familiar with Fast, this is definitely a movie I am looking forward to seeing. What are your thoughts?...

Alexia Fast is the latest name added to the growing ensemble for One Shot, Christopher McQuarrie.s adaptation of the Lee Child novel that has cast Tom Cruise in the lead role of Jack Reacher, a seasoned military veteran turned homicide investigator. Fast, whose previous credits include the recent thriller Triple Dog and TV work on Flashpoint and Tin Man, will play Sandy, a beautiful but potentially treacherous character who will be used to dupe Cruise.s hero, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Not that Child.s fan base needs to be told that. They.ve propped the Reacher stories on a pedestal, and already know by heart the fact that One Shot follows the respected cop as he looks into a sniper assassination that involves the mudre of five random victims. That passion for the Reacher books also has fans up in arms over the casting of Cruise in...

I've always wanted to be a fly on the wall at a hot chick sleepover. Well, okay, I'm lying; I'd much rather be home playing Xbox, but in any event sometimes things can get a little deadlier than just your expected pillow fight. In fact the goings on could very well result in horror's latest trend -- the accidental death/revenge film!
Starring Scout Taylor-Compton and directed by Pascal Franchot, the new film Triple Dog follows a group of teenage girls on the night of a sleepover as they venture out, led by the ringleader Chapin, in a competitive game of challenging dares. As the antics escalate and the dares become more extreme, the girls unravel the truth behind a former student's rumored suicide.

Last week we brought you the first teaser for Pascal Franchot's teen thriller Triple Dog. At only 30 seconds it didn't really give us any sense of how it would look, how edgy it would be willing to go or the character dynamics but now, thanks to patience (and an anonymous tipster), we've got the full thing for you.
Triple Dog takes place in a small suburban town, where six high school girls play a game of dare that careens out of control, altering their lives forever…
As I said in our previous post, it feels like Triple Dog is squarely aimed at the family channel set - a very young tween demo - so, considering this, it does in fact push the envelope. Maybe not as far as we're used to here at Qe, but it still looks pretty good.

And the award for most eye-rolling title goes to ... Triple Dog! Taken from the common phrase “I triple dog dare you to…”, this new teen thriller found itself an official site recently, and some teaser footage has shown up online as well.
Quiet Earth discovered the official Triple Dog site along with the footage you can see below, which is more than likely the opening shots of the film. The film stars Brittany Robertson (Dan in Real Life) as one of six high school girls who get involved in a game of dare that goes way too far. Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie’s Halloween), Alexia Fast (“Tin Man”), Janel Parrish (“The O.C.”), and Emily Tennant (Juno) also star.
Hit the official Triple Dog site to learn more about the film, where you can submit your own dare to the production team and get access to exclusive clips.

Triple Dog is a project I actually had some dealings with last year. An upcoming teen thriller that was produced with American money but filmed in Canada, the company I worked for (a social networking company that shall remain nameless) is mentioned a few times in the script and shown onscreen so, being a PR guy, I had to read the script and make sure we weren't being represented in any way that would get us into trouble. That was the extent of it really. I liked the script a lot. It was definitely pointed squarely at a tween demo but had an edge to it.
Long story longer, because of this "hands on" experience I've been keeping an eye on the production out of general curiosity. An official website just emerged with a teaser that unfortunately doesn't really show much (in fact if I remember correctly, it might just...
