The characters of Vladimir and Sergey were designed to look-a-like as late french comedian Louis de Funès. Also in the teaser trailers it was announced that the main stars of the movie were Jamel Debbouze and Louis de Funès. Olivier De Funès (Louis' son) contributed to the creation and the dialogues for those characters.

Some scenes had to be cut from the english dub to get the running time of the movie from 1h 40m to 1h 31m in order to not scare children.
