Instead of romantic drama, the strong suits of this series, we get over the top overacting and insultingly silly scene setups, all in the pursuit of gonzo sex.

It's as if the powers that be at Girlfriends Films are throwing in the towel, conceding that porn audiences are bored with dialog/characters and antsy for unbridled XXX action. Right or wrong, this approach dooms a traditionally story-oriented label like Girlfriends.

First half of the DVD has Cherie DeVIlle (now a brunette) conspiring with Carmen Caliente to maneuver a double seduction. DeVille succeeds in seducing her young daughter Shyla Jennings (still cast as a teen well into her 30s), and then the previously shy and innocent Shyla steps completely out of character, flaunting their faux innocence and helping Carmen to take Prinzzess to bed.

Second half is a rare case of a scripted Girlfriends opus, with okay delivery of dialog, but laughably outrageous overacting. Particularly annoying is Sarah Vandella in a dominant role, forcing her daughter to make love to Prinzzess, who despite being the porn label's go-to actress seems miscast in both halves of the show.

Scarlett Sage, usually cast as a troublemaker/instigator, instead seems bewildered playing Sarah's youthful prey, as the hammy MILF insists on taking her to bed. Making matters worse, the golden headboard bed, used dozens of times as a location, dominates the frame in both of these blonde on blonde sex scenes, a stupid distraction.
