Evan Peters received plaudits from fans on the internet for his highly convincing portrayal of being drunk. Peters was actually stone cold sober for the scene and was drinking shots of apple cider vinegar in between takes to keep him focused.

Rooting For Flawed Characters

You know the writing, acting, etc. Is good when you're rooting for flawed characters. We can all identify aspects of the various characters with people we know in life, which makes shows like this more relatable. This show is much more than JUST a whodunnit - at heart it's about how these characters overcome the struggles in their lives. How far would you go to keep from losing the people you love most? For Mare, that questioned is answered in this episode. Great acting, great writing. Well done!
