“Doc,” which stars Molly Parker as a medical chief whose memory is partially lost in a devastating accident, has grown its audience to 15.6 million viewers across platforms in the first 11 days since its Jan. 7 premiere, according to Nielsen viewing figures. The premiere now ranks as Fox’s most-watched debut telecast across all platforms in five years, since “9-1-1: Lone Star” premiered in January 2020.

With delayed viewing across Fox, Hulu and other streaming platforms, the premiere episode grew by 609% when compared to its live-plus-same-day viewership of 2.2 million, which the show brought in during its linear debut on Jan. 7.

911: Lone Star returned from its midseason hiatus and got the ball rolling when it came to Judd’s sobriety arc. So far, he has not been doing as well as he appears, despite the front he puts up at work. However, his friend and Captain, Owen, made sure to keep an eye on him.

After a call involving a fire at a shooting range, Owen noticed Judd was putting himself in danger during the call. Seemingly, he didn’t seem to care at all. Plus, despite going to meetings, it’s clear Judd is still not doing well. Eventually, Owen learned that without Grace and their daughter Charlie, who is staying with her grandparents, Judd has once again fallen off the wagon.

In fact, Judd’s faith has also taken a nosedive. It got worse when he attempted to call Grace for help and he was unable to get through to talk to her.

This week, actor Nathan Owens begins appearing on The Young and the Restless. His role is still a mystery, although fans have speculated that he is set to play Nate’s half-brother, Damian. 9-1-1 is at an interesting point in its history. Fans were genuinely surprised to see the flagship show and its spinoff, 9-1-1: Lone Star, land on different networks. Then, they were surprised to learn that Lone Star was getting the boot.

Despite being transferred to another network, the Texas-based spinoff has been canceled. Ryan Murphy, one of the franchise's creators, lamented the show's cancelation during a recent interview with Variety. He did, however, note that there are some exciting plans for the future.

Mondays usually end with Brilliant Minds, but NBC is doing something a little different tonight. We’re getting an outing of Day of the Jackal. The Peacock series is currently available to binge, but NBC has decided to air the series premiere tonight.

NBC kicks off 2025 with the return of Reba McEntire in Happy’s Place on Jan. 3 at 8 p.m., followed by Lopez vs. Lopez at 8:30.

New medical drama Brilliant Minds, which stars Zachary Quinto, is back on Jan. 6 at 10 p.m.

The Irrational returns on Jan. 7 at 10 p.m.

Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. premiere Jan. 8 starting at 8 p.m.

St. Denis Medical and Night Court return on Jan. 14 starting at 8 p.m.

Full of snappy dialogue, stylish scenery, and captivating stories, "Suits" more than passes the bar when it comes to contemporary, mass appeal, prestige television. After enjoying an impressive but relatively muted nine-season run from 2011 to 2019, the USA series suddenly became one of the most popular TV shows in the 2020s thanks to a bump from Netflix. The renewed interest in it has apparently been so overwhelming that NBC ordered a spin-off from series creator Aaron Korsh.

Korsh's new series -- titled "Suits L.A." -- will feature a new law firm and a brand new cast of characters, led by "Arrow" star Stephen Amell. The 9-1-1 franchise is expanding with the addition of another spinoff that will be set in a different city, but its location hasn't been confirmed, as of the writing of this article. As fans know, the original TV series, 9-1-1, takes place in Los Angeles, California. Meanwhile, the first spinoff, 9-1-1: Lone Star, is set in Austin, Texas. It stands to reason that the events of the new 9-1-1 spinoff in development will transpire in a city that could bring something new to the franchise, meaning places in California and Texas are likely out of the question.

The series finale of 9-1-1: Lone Star premieres on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 8 pm Et on Fox. Meanwhile, 9-1-1 season 8 will continue one month later, on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 8 pm Et on ABC, after its midseason break.

As the 2024–2025 TV season got to a start, Fox was proud of Rescue: Hi-Surf. It gave the top post-Super Bowl spot to the series, suggesting that it was going to be one to watch. Things have changed, but what does this mean for the future of the series?

When Fox released its January 2025 premiere dates, there was a notable change. Rescue: Hi-Surf would no longer get the post-Super Bowl timeslot.

This is a huge spot. It’s usually reserved for new shows, and we’ve seen some excellent results for a lot of big hitters. Just look at the success of the CBS shows The Equalizer and Tracker after their post-Super Bowl slots. Moving a show out of that timeslot doesn’t bode well for its future.

Will Rescue: Hi-Surf be canceled after one season?

The change does suggest that the future isn’t bright for this Hawaii-based rescue drama.

We’re now into the winter breaks for a lot of shows, and that means eyes are on return dates. Fox has its January and February schedules set, but there are some shows missing. When will we see the likes of The Cleaning Lady and Alert.

Yes, these two and Family Guy were noticeably missing from the list of January premieres. This has fans concerned, but don’t worry, Fox isn’t holding them for the next TV schedule. This isn’t a repeat of last year with 911: Lone Star and Accused.

The Cleaning Lady and Alert will return in the 2024–2025 schedule

There are still plans to bring The Cleaning Lady, Alert: Missing Persons Unit, and Family Guy back before May 2025. They are set for this TV cycle, but we’ll have to wait a little long. It looks like the shows are going to arrive in March.

This isn’t necessarily bad news.

There are sadly only three episodes left of 9-1-1: Lone Star, which returns on Monday, January 20, 2025 (the finale is set for February 3). And sure, there’s a massive emergency—an asteroid heading for Austin—but there’s also quite a bit left to wrap up about the characters as well. In addition to whether or not Owen (Rob Lowe) might take that job offer and what’s next for Judd (Jim Parrack) with his drinking, there’s the matter of T.K. (Ronen Rubinstein) and Carlos (Rafael Silva) adopting T.K.’s half-brother Jonah as well as what’s ahead for the rest of the first responders. TV Insider turned to co-showrunner Rashad Raisani for the scoop. How much are we going to see T.K. and Carlos trying to balance being parents and balancing work? They have family, but at the same time, they are the primary caretakers now of this kid.

It looks like NCIS: Origins traded in its usual gunfire and life-or-death situations for a little emotional warfare instead. In all seriousness, this had to be the most emotionally charged episode of the season.

Truth be told, I wasn’t sure why the series needed to backtrack to how Gibbs ended up at the Nis. The story could have easily gone on without Gibbs’s little journey from Marine to Nis Agent. It seemed pretty cut and dry.

Thankfully, the NCIS: Origins writers never miss an opportunity to showcase how easily they can make audiences cry. Someone should see how Kleenex’s stock is doing.

While “Blue Bayou” didn’t deliver action or mind-blowing twists, it did offer the insight we’ve been craving for Gibbs and even Lala. That said, is anyone else annoyed by the bait-and-switch Christmas episode?
