The new selections include 11 channels from Warner Bros. Discovery, increasing the variety of channels available on Philo even further.

Philo is a handy live TV streaming service, one that comes with more options than it might seem at first glance. For $28 per month, the service delivers 18 of The Streamable’s top cable channels, but one of the hidden strengths of the service is the amount of free ad-supported streaming TV (Fast) channels viewers get alongside those cable networks. Philo is building that strength even more this week and has announced that it is welcoming 14 new Fast channels to its lineup.

Fox’s ad-supported streamer Tubi has struck a deal with Warner Bros. Discovery to stream DC movies including “The Batman,” “Suicide Squad,” “Black Adam,” “Wonder Woman” and “Aquaman,” as well as superhero series “Batwoman,” “Gotham” and “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.”

The above film titles, as well as “Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn),” “Green Lantern” and “Wonder Woman 1984,” will hit Tubi’s on-demand lineup in 2024.

Available as of Tuesday are “Batman,” “Batman Returns” and “Batman Forever,” as well as “Superman: The Movie” and “Superman II,” and TV series “Batwoman,” “Gotham” and “Krypton.”

“Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” will begin streaming Dec. 31.

It was back in June of last year that we learned HBO Max had pulled the plug on the Ridley Scott-produced sci-fi series “Raised by Wolves,” cancelling the show after just two seasons. The series was subsequently pulled from HBO Max entirely, with promised plans to license the series (and others) to third-party free ad-supported streaming television (Fast) channels.

Making good on that promise, Bloody Disgusting has learned that “Raised by Wolves” has now found a new home at The Roku Channel, alongside HBO Max’s “Westworld.”

One of the biggest free streaming services on the market is adding to its selection of linear free ad-supported TV (Fast) channels. The Roku Channel has announced it will be bringing on 14 new channel selections from Warner Bros. Discovery.

Some of the content on these channels will be quite familiar to viewers, especially if they also have an HBO Max subscription. Series like “Westworld,” “Cake Boss” and “F-Boy Island,” as well as blockbuster movies will be available to Roku Channel customers now, along with thousands more hours of free streaming courtesy of Wbd.

Many of the shows that have been dropped from HBO Max streaming are now on the 13 new WB-themed Roku channels, the streaming hardware and software maker announced on Tuesday. WB TV Watchlist will now be home to sci-series “Westworld” and “Raised by Wolves” as well as “La Femme Nikita.”

HBO Max revealed in December that they would be licensing shows including “Westworld” to third-party Fast services. Roku has its own Fast service, the Roku Channel, and hosts third-party channels through a channel store.

There’s enough WB content for 13 Roku channels, some of which are dedicated to family programming, true crime, pets, reality TV series, and do-it-yourself.

If you're upset that shows like "Westworld," "The Nevers," "FBoy Island," and more have been pulled from HBO Max in the aftermath of the Warner Bros.-Discovery merger, there's good news. Tubi and Roku have both reached deals with Warner Bros. Discovery to bring that content to their streaming platforms. The two streamers announced their deals in separate statements. The titles will be available as Fast content - free ad-supported linear streaming TV.

Affected shows include "Westworld," "Raised by Wolves," "Legendary," "FBoy Island," "The Nevers," "Finding Magic Mike," "Head of the Class," "The Time Traveler's Wife," "Cake Boss," "Breaking Amish," "Caribbean Life," "How It's Made," "Paranormal Lockdown," and "Murder Chose Me." TVLine confirmed that both streamers will have the six episodes of "The Nevers" that never aired.

Last summer, Warner Bros. Discovery made headlines when it began to remove shows and films from the platform in the wake of the merger.

Warner Bros Discovery has finally nailed down plans to go the Fast route. Last year — in between an intense bout of cancellations and titles being pulled from their streaming home on HBO Max — the company announced plans to explore a free ad-supported television option (Fast). During the company's third-quarter earnings call, Warner Bros. Discovery chief David Zaslav made a point of saying that there's "a huge amount of content that's not even on [HBO Max/Discovery+] that's sitting with us that hasn't been put to monetize in the marketplace." In the spirit of cashing in, a new plan has been enacted. Over the next few months, 14 Warner Bros. branded Fast channels will arrive on Roku and Tubi.

Roku and Tubi will be the free streaming homes for Westworld, Raised by Wolves, The Nevers and other Warner Bros. Discovery content that was recently removed from HBO Max, as part of a co-exclusive deal that includes “hundreds” of TV series and movies from the Wbd portfolio.

As reported in December, Wbd’s plan was to shop the series it had removed from its own subscription streaming service (as part of an expansive and seismic cost-cutting move) and shop them to Fast (free, ad-supported streaming TV) services.

Tyler the Creator is doing How It's Made for millennials, basically.

The enigmatic rapper and producer is launching a new Viceland show, Nuts + Bolts, where he teams up with various experts, including Neil deGrasse Tyson and Bill Nye, all in the pursuit of making and understanding cool things.

"Nuts + Bolts is the show describing how everything I think is awesome is made," the 26-year-old artist says during the teaser clip, which features everything from stop-motion animation, to time travel, to... mustard.

The show How It's Made always provides an interesting look into how products we use every day come into being. How is a marble made? What about saxophones? Is my neighbor always watching me especially at night? That last one is actually a pitch for the show. They should do an episode on that because I'd love to know. The episode featured in the clip below takes us inside the Patron Tequila distillery for a look at how the thing I had for breakfast and lunch today gets made. However, towards the end of the show the learning is derailed by the appearance of the Master Distiller and his distracting hairpiece. Maybe he was just self-conscious about being on TV. That or the wig is actually a sentient being...

Just as news breaks that Hung was canceled, Thomas Jane makes the news again, "correcting" his months-old quote about sandwiches that everyone took to mean he'd turned a few gay tricks for cash in his youth. "In the interviews that I did, I never said I was a prostitute. I was talking about my [early] time in Hollywood: I said that I’d had a sexually adventurous time and I was trying to relate that to how I play a prostitute on TV." Maybe next time don't imply something obvious and end the quote with "Know what I mean?" because obviously no one does. I feel used and dirty, like he managed the press to cover his bigoted prior remarks. I'll never watch anything he does again.

If marathons are your thing, you've got everything from "Firefly" and "Doctor Who" to "House Hunters" and "How It's Made." Dancing With The Stars fans can see a different side of Derek Hough this week as he drops in on Sunday night's episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The professional dancer - who is currently dazzling the judges alongside Jennifer Grey - spent a week with the Arboleda family this summer (aided by some of his Dancing co-stars) to help the team build their perfect home. He chatted about the upcoming episode earlier today... How did you get involved with the show?

"I was watching it a couple of months ago and have always been a fan. I'm one of those types of people who watch Discovery Channel and How It's Made and all those sorts of shows; seeing how things work and how they are built. Also in this show the emotional side is so strong and I saw it and thought I'd love to be part of building...
