Sixty-Five Today

Maybe Harold would had been better off just going with his dad to The Skinner's Arms and drank all night.

Instead Harold ake Albert for a posh night out for his 65th birthday.

A cocktail bar at the West End. Then to the Old Vic for a Shakespeare play with Michael Redgrave. To finish off, a meal at a Chinese restaurant.

Only problem is. Albert complains all the way though. At the cocktail bar, the price of drinks and the snooty attitude of the bar man.

At the theatre, the play is boring. Harold apparently fell asleep.

The Chinese meal is a disaster. Albert does not know how to use chopsticks. All the way through Albert wished he was at the Spinner's Arms.

It all reminds me of the 80th birthday celebration we took our dear old mum to! Or as she said, there is nothing here that I could have made at home and it would had been cheaper!
