Maude Helps An Old Friend

Maude's old school friend Jane, a widow, is visiting. Maude tries fixing her up with Arthur and also tries to reconcile her with her estranged daughter.

An OK episode with Rosemary Murphy guest starring as Jane. Murphy at that time was appearing in the movie thriller "You'll Like My Mother" opposite Patty Duke. It seems Jane and her daughter are involved in a court case over an inheritance. Arthur is over for dinner with Jane but he meets the daughter and leaves with her. The next day has the funniest scenes when Maude lies to everyone to get them to all come to her house so she can fix everything up, it doesn't work.
