Alexandra Daddario is speaking up for herself against her harshest critics, who have accused her of not being a good actress. Daddario stars as Dr. Rowan Fielding on the hit AMC+ series Mayfair Witches. She has been acting on camera for over two decades, and yet she has often been dismissed by critics and some harsher fans online throughout her career. Even with a major award nomination under her belt, it still doesn't seem enough for some, and the actress is done with people saying she isn't good at her job.

Speaking with Elle magazine (via Variety), Daddario was asked what she thought was the "most outrageous rumor" about herself that won't go away. Daddario quickly answered, "That I’m a bad actress." Daddario points out that despite being nominated for an Emmy for her performance in The White Lotus, one of the most critically acclaimed series on air, her talents are constantly questioned.

Exclusive: Production is underway in Los Angeles on Vanished, the new action-thriller from director Jared Cohn (Vendetta).

Cast is led by Randy Charach (Hunting Games), Rampage Jackson (The A-Team), Richard Grieco (21 Jump Street) David Chokachi (Baywatch), Natalie Burn (Black Adam), and Al Sapienza (The Sopranos).

The film follows Jack (Randy Charach), a high-level defense contractor whose world is upended when his daughter is kidnapped and held for ransom, forcing him into a relentless fight to bring her home.

Charach Productions produced the film in partnership with Traplight Pictures, having previously teamed up on movies including A Killer in the House and Clutch.

In December, Cohn wrapped Hunt Mode with Nicky Whelan (Hall Pass) and Cam Gigandet (Twilight).

It's impossible to imagine anyone other than Jason Sudeikis playing Ted Lasso. But the Saturday Night Live alum almost didn't get the chance to bring the character to life, and two late-night TV stars almost changed sitcom history.

Ted Lasso ran for three seasons on Apple TV+. Fans were sad to see Sudeikis hang up the whistle in 2023 after the show earned a pile of awards. Not bad for a show that started off as a commercial for English Premier League broadcasts in the United States.

And that's where things almost went in a completely different direction. The book Believe: The Untold Story Behind Ted Lasso, the Show That Kicked Its Way into Our Hearts by Jeremy Egner explained how NBC initially wanted several other actors for the promo before landing on Sudeikis and creating the Ted Lasso character.

In an alternate timeline, another late-night TV personality would have starred in the commercials.

Owen Wilson and Ed Helms's 2017 comedy movie Father Figures is now available on Netflix and it deserves more respect than its reputation would suggest. Father Figures follows two adult brothers who decide to search for their father, whom they have never met. Their adventure leads them to several men across the country, providing laughs for audiences along the way. Though Father Figures was unsuccessful at the time of its release, streaming audiences are finally able to watch the movie, giving it new life.

The Farrelly Brothers are known for making iconic comedies like Dumb and Dumber, Kingpin and There’s Something About Mary — as well as less-than-iconic comedies like Hall Pass and the remake of The Heartbreak Kid that somehow missed the entire point of the original. After working on separate projects for the past decade (including one of the worst Oscar Best Picture winners of all time), the Farrelly Brothers are back together. Sort of.

The new comedy Dear Santa was directed by Bobby Farrelly, from a script co-written by Peter Farrelly. It stars Jack Black as the literal Devil, who is accidentally conjured by a small child after they write a letter to “Satan” instead of “Santa.”

It’s a new month, and Hulu subscribers are getting a slew of new movies and TV shows to enjoy.

June 1 is jam-packed with more than 30 titles that have landed on the streamer, including the seventh and final season of Ava DuVernay’s “Queen Sugar,” the Jack Nicholson-led film “Hoffa,” Sacha Baron Cohen’s “Borat” and the entire “Twilight” franchise.

Mixing in a little of the old with new come goodies from 2023, like “Flamin’ Hot,” which tells the story of Mexican migrant Richard Montanez who came up with the idea for Flamin’ Hot Cheetos while working as a janitor at Frito Lay. The film lands on Hulu June 9.

Ending June with a bang will the be second season of “The Bear,” (June 22), Season 20 of “The Bachelorette” (June 27) and the sixth and final season of “Grown-ish.”

It’s summer time on Hulu and that can only mean one thing. With its list of new releases for June 2023, Hulu is bringing back last summer’s unexpected hit.

FX’s The Bear season 2 premieres all episodes on June 22. If you’re not already captivated by this intense culinary story about the little Italian beef shop that could, definitely catch up now. Jason Sudeikis recalls Owen Wilson's "compliment" about his eating habits on the set of Hall Pass.

The lead star of Ted Lasso recently appeared on an episode of Hot Ones, where he discussed his time working on the 2011 comedy film. According to Sudeikis, his co-star Wilson stated, "Gosh, you'll just put anything in your body, huh?" after he continued to eat chicken wings while filming a scene. Wilson then added, "I'm so curious what you'd look like if you actually worked out and took care of yourself." Sudeikis laughed while telling the story, with the host of the interview, Sean Evans, doing the same.

The scene in question featured the characters eating chicken wings at a sports bar. Both Evans and Sudeikis explained that it's a common practice on film sets to avoid eating when the camera is not focused on you.

Jason Sudeikis recalls a funny backhanded compliment Owen Wilson gave him while the pair were filming Sudeikis' first big studio movie as a leading man, Hall Pass. The movie, which was released in 2011, starred Wilson and Sudeikis as Rick Mills and Fred Searing, respectively, two men who are given a one-week hall pass by their wives during which they can do anything without retribution. Hall Pass is known for its underrated cast of characters played by iconic comedians.

While battling spicy wings on the YouTube show Hot Ones, Sudeikis was reminded of an experience he had on the set of Hall Pass. Sudeikis recalled how, during the filming of a scene at a sports bar, he actually ate the wings on the table while the crew was filming Wilson's takes. Jason Sudeikis recently recalled a playful conversation he had with Owen Wilson while they were on the set of Hall Pass.

During production on the 2011 comedy, which also starred Steve Merchant, Jb Smoove and Larry Joe Campbell, the actors were filming a scene in a sports bar that involved them eating wings and talking.

“It was my first time being in a big studio movie, like lead, Owen and I are on the poster type thing,” Sudeikis said during an appearance on Hot Ones. “We’re going around, and we shoot like all people around the thing. You know, you have to keep moving the camera if you have the time and money, which they usually do for studio movies.”

He continues, “There were hot wings — they weren’t this hot,” he joked as he appeared to be visibly struggling with the wing he’d just eaten on the YouTube series.

Saban Films will release alligator horror movie The Flood this summer, and the official trailer has swam its way online this afternoon. And ya know, this one doesn’t look half bad!

The action-horror movie hits Theaters, On Demand and Digital on July 14, 2023. The premise suggests a Syfy-style monster movie – alligators inside a prison – but the execution looks a lot closer to Alexandre Aja’s Crawl than anything you’d find on the Syfy network.

Season 2 of last summer’s hit breakout series “The Bear” is set to premiere on Hulu on Thursday, June 22. After a tumultuous return to his family’s hole-in-the-wall Chicago restaurant, chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) and his staff transform the greasy sandwich joint into a first-class dining experience after he discovers the slush fund his brother left behind. Exclusive: Jack Black and brothers Bobby and Peter Farrelly, the team behind the 2001 comedy Shallow Hal, look to be reuniting for the holidays — and bringing an infamous character along for the sleigh ride. Sources tell Deadline that Black is set to star in the Christmas comedy Dear Santa with Bobby Farrelly set to direct and Peter Farrelly on board to produce with Bobby and Jeremy Kramer.

The movie centers on a young boy who, in writing his yearly note to Santa, mixes up the letters and sends it to Satan instead. Black recently teased the project on social media when he posted a photo of him posing with Christmas decorations with no context — it got everyone talking about what it could be.

A number of great movies are leaving HBO Max at the end of March, so it’s time to prioritize these titles in your queue. Filmmaker James Gunn’s sequel/soft reboot “The Suicide Squad” will depart the streaming service on March 22 after first hitting HBO Max the same day it was released in theaters back in 2021. Similarly, “Space Jam: A New Legacy” was whisked away on March 1 after also getting a day-and-date release in 2021 (sorry/not sorry if you missed it).

You also only have until March 7 to stream “Just a Boy From Tupelo: Bringing Elvis to the Big Screen,” a short documentary on the making of the Oscar-nominated biopic “Elvis.”

Other noteworthy films leaving HBO Max this month include “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford,” “Contagion,” the extended version of “Dances with Wolves,” “Ghostbusters,” “Four Weddings and a Funeral,” “Love & Basketball” and “Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.

Exclusive: Primetime Emmy nominee Jenna Fischer is boarding the ensemble cast of Paramount Pictures’ new Mean Girls film based on the Tony-nominated Broadway musical in the role of Ms. Heron, Cady Heron’s mom.

Ana Gasteyer played Cady’s Mom in the original 2004 movie which grossed over $130M WW. The Mean Girls musical feature is currently planned for Paramount+.

Fischer joins previously announced cast includes Angourie Rice, Reneé Rapp, Auli’i Cravalho, Jaquel Spivey, Tina Fey, Tim Meadows, Avantika, Christopher Briney, and Bebe Wood.

The film is based on the 12 Tony nominated stage musical Mean Girls written by Fey, with music by Richmond and lyrics by Nell Benjamin. Kyle Hanagami is choreographing the pic.

Lorne Michaels is producing with Fey. Erin David, Caroline Maroney, and Micah Frank are overseeing for Broadway Video, and Eric Gurian and Jeff Richmond for Little Stranger.
