Resúmenes

  • Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's action-adventure classic, four plane crash survivors encounter danger in a world that time forgot.

Sinopsis

  • A plane crashes in a remote jungle. Many survive, but the cockpit and the front end of the plane is nowhere to be found. The only way to call for help is to find the cockpit and radio a message.

Ed Malone (Jeff Denton) climbs a small hill and they see the cockpit in the distance about a mile away or so. So a bunch a people decide to leave the plane and head over to find the radio. John Roxton (Rhett Giles) and Malone lead the small group through the jungle. The rest of the passengers stay put in case a plane passes by.

While traveling through the jungle, they encounter giant spiders which one of is killed and a corpse of a giant flying lizard impaled on bamboo spears with tribal markings.

They arrive at the fuselage when they notice that its not the same plane they flew in. In addition, the radio and all other important instruments have been stripped and taken away. They are startled by lt. Challenger (Bruce Boxleitner), who managed to travel by himself all alone to the downed plane, still carrying a briefcase that he doesn't seem to want to part with.

They continue on their way to find the cockpit and encounter an F-18 this time. Challenge tries to turn one of the missiles into a flare gun, but fails. While finding some leaves to cover up the holes in the plane when raining, one of them is killed by man-eating plants.

Meanwhile, the natives living in the jungle capture the passengers that stayed with the plane.

While stopping at a cavern for the night, they are attacked by giant scorpions and other insects. They escape except for another survivor who is attacked by two scorpions and Roxton who is impaled by another scorpion's sting. As they escape from the caves, they too are captured by the natives.

It turns out that the natives are other people that had crashed a long time ago and they created this rite, which sacrifices a few humans to the flying reptiles in order to appease them. The whole ceremony fails when a giant ape attacks the area. Many are killed and most escape.

Military jets fly above and attack the giant ape, but they also crash since no airplane has ever been able to fly above this jungle in years. Challenger was on a mission to defuse a nuclear bomb, when one of the natives attacks and hurt him. Its up to Malone and the remaining two survivors to detonate the bomb and destroy the giant ape as Challenger dies of his wounds.

Malone detonates the bomb and the giant ape and a lot of flying reptiles are destroyed. The cockpit they were looking for is also destroyed, trapping them in the jungle.
